Nannenga/Welding Quarter Horses- Four Socks Ranch We have continued the breeding of Quarter horses that Al Mayer spent over 50 years establishing. Quality, Versatile Quarter Horses

Our goal is to establish a quarter horse that can be used in multiple disciplines. We are located just east of Jamestown, ND. Our pedigrees include: Sonny Dee Bar, Triples Image, Mr San Peppy, Peppy San, and Zippo Pine Bar just to name a few. We offer horse sales, boarding, and overnight boarding. If there is a horse for sale that you like but it is not broke, we can start them. Our goal is to produce and train quality and versatile horses that can work on a ranch or perform in a variety of disciplines in the show ring.

Welcome, Stella, to the Four Socks Ranch. She's kicking up her heels, excited to join us here! She's a half sister to Solar and one of our broodmares, Billie. Sonny Dee Bar horses are getting hard to come by so we had to get her when we had the chance!

Well, for only having around 30 rides on each horse we did alright. Travis and Red finished 7th overall and Madelyn and Solar, 9th. Placings in the classes were all over the place, but that's just how showing goes sometimes. We'd like to thank the members of the Minnesota 50-50 for being a welcoming, kind group of people! Thanks for a great weekend!

Finished the halter class. Next up, Western Pleasure.

The countdown to show time is on. We fitted their show saddles today. Travis' saddle is one of Al's custom saddles ,it's over 40 years old and quite possibly has never been on a horse! Time to get it out and break it in!

Gilbert the Big Pig got to try a caramel apple today. If you ask Gilbert, sweets are the most important food category, right above carbs. He doesn't get sweet treats very often, but he's quite happy when he does!

Everyone came up for some hay this morning. Rolling out the hay gives everyone space to spread out and eat and actually leads to less hay waste then using round bale feeders.

Pushed up the lot this morning since it's finally drying out and rolled some hay out.
