I've heard people say, "It's been so hot, maybe it just dries up."
Unfortunately... that's not how it works.

The heat dries the grass out, but it also brings flies. Before long, you've got maggots, and mowing around old piles isn't doing your mower blades any favors either.

Keeping up with it every week is a whole lot easier than letting it pile up

Started the morning over in Lindale on Thursday. It's been a warm one, so it didn't take long to tell this yard had been waiting on me.
A little while later, it smelled pleasantly like fresh sunshine again, the gate was shut, and I was headed to the next stop.
Hope everybody's finding a little shade this week.
