Adoption First Animal Rescue We are an animal rescue located in North Carolina! We specialize in pulling dogs and cats that are set to be euthanized at the local animal shelters.

We also run a pet pantry for those in need in our community. We are a nonprofit animal rescue based in Jacksonville, NC. We currently do dog and cat adoptions. 🐾❤️ Helping Special Medical Cases❤️🐾

Not every animal that comes through our doors is healthy and ready to go. Sometimes we take in pets with medical conditions that require surgery or ongoing treatment to give them a better quality of life.

One of those pets is this sweet girl. Thanks to the care she has received, she's feeling so much better and even gets the zoomies from time to time! Watching animals like her become more comfortable, active, and happy reminds us why these medical cases are so important.

Medical treatments and surgeries can be costly, but they make a world of difference for animals who deserve a chance at a happy life. If you would like to help support pets like her and future medical cases, donations are always appreciated.

Please note: She is currently not available for adoption. Be sure to keep an eye on our website for updates on her progress and future availability.

These two handsome boys are currently looking for their forever homes! ❤️

Like most kittens, Newt and Minho have plenty of playful energy and love spending their days chasing toys, exploring, and getting into a little kitten mischief. But once they've worn themselves out, they're more than happy to settle down for a cozy cuddle puddle and enjoy some quality snuggle time. 🐱💤

Whether they're playing together or curled up side-by-side, these sweet boys are sure to bring lots of love, laughter, and companionship to their future family.

Looking to add a splash of pure joy to your life? Meet Pirate! 🐾 This sweet boy is part of the adorable litter featuring Woody, Henna, and Chip, and he is officially searching for his forever home!

Pirate is currently living his best life in a wonderful foster home, and to say he loves playtime would be an understatement. His absolute favorite hobby? Water management. 💦 Whenever the garden hose gets turned on, Pirate goes into full-on tracker mode, chasing the water streams with the happiest tail wags you've ever seen! Due to his big personality, he feels like he is enough to keep your hands full and may do better as an only pup.
