We had someone bring in a dog that was hit-by-a-car this morning. The pet passed away en route. We were unable to find a microchip. He was a blue-merle-ish looking dog about 65lbs and was an intact male.

Edited to add: pet was hit off of Blair Road.
We will put a photo in the comments for identification, as a possible trigger warning.

!!!!!!!UPDATE! ADOPTED!!!!!!!!

This is the stray from a month ago. Animal Care & Protective Services appears to be super busy right now with the seasonal influx of pets and has not been able to contact us back. The last few times we reached the answering service, we were informed that with the influx of dachshunds from the large group that was relinquished and they were not taking any new animals.

We don't want this girl to be forgotten, and it would be great to find her a home of her own for Christmas!

She only appears to be about a year old, she is very high energy and wants to run. Will happily do laps in our backyard for an hour during her breaks from the kennel. She was spayed and vaccinated about 10 days ago and her heartworm test was Negative!

We are not sure how she will do with cats, but she has been trying to get all of the dogs in the cages she walks past to play with her and licking at their faces.

She is about 43lbs.

If you would like to come by and visit her or play with her for a while, she would love that!

We will be open tomorrow, Saturday, November 28th!

As we were closed Wednesday afternoon and Thursday this week for Thanksgiving, we have decided to open from 8AM-1PM tomorrow to accommodate those who were not able to come in those days.

Does anyone recognize this baby girl? She was found around Adam's Lake Community on Monday with a second dog. The other dog was microchipped and we found the owners. She is very scared, but sweet. Looks to only be a few years old, if that.

We need to try to find her owners ASAP or will have to transfer her to ACPS as we are currently not staffed over the weekend for kennels at this time.

Up for Adoption!

Meet Miss Mouse!

Miss Mouse decided, in her time of need, to move herself into one of our technicians houses and have some babies!

She is not microchipped and we have not located an owner.

Her babies have all been weaned and adopted, and it is now Mouse's turn. She has been vaccinated for FVRCP(Feline distemper-combo) and Rabies, her Feline Leukemia/FIV testing is negative, she has been dewormed and she was spayed on Friday.

So far she likes other cats, andwas getting along well with the small dog in the house she let herself into. She is a bit nervous around large dogs, at least in the office she has been, but we suspect she would get used to them with time.

She is very needy and believes she should be touching you or in your lap at all times, so be prepared for cling-on kitty!

Note: Mr. Cement is also still up for adoption, we have had many calls for interest in the last week, but no one has show up for him yet 😓🥺

We have a Male Tabby up for adoption, about 11 weeks old. He's a bit of an attention hog and would like someone to shower him with love an affection 24/7. If this sounds like your kinda man, he'd love to meet you today!

We have no internet right now due to Comcast doing updates in the area. Because our phone and credit card processing are both digital, we currently do not have either available. We are very sorry for the interruption, and hope it will be resolved soon.

It has come to our attention that many of our clients have received an email notification in regards to a veterinary closing and misunderstanding that it is from our office. Although we will be without a doctor between the 10th and 19th this month, we are staying open otherwise.
The messages that were forwarded to us from concerned clients were sent from Marietta Animal Hospital. We understand the concern and wanted to make sure our clients new we will be remaining open. If you have ever taken a pet to Marietta, you are in their system and may receive the message.

Attention Clients!

We will have no doctor in the office from Tuesday, September 10th -Friday, September 19th.

We will also be closed Saturday, September 13th.

We will have normal hours with a doctor on staff beginning Saturday, September 20th.
