Kida doing dog things ♥️

I feel like it’s been a slow start for Kida, but it’s finally coming together! Today was her first day to show enough trust in the process, the things, the dogs barking across the street, the dogs barking on our walk, things are starting to settle.

I’ve spent a lot of time walking, sitting, lots of play, lots of time doing outlandish stuff to just let her know it’s acceptable to follow, grow and learn.

All that to say, don’t be frustrated that time doesn’t just fast forward. Don’t get angry at the dog who may observe the world a little differently, if you’re in your head (which believe me, I am), because they’ll thank you in the end. Sure I probably could have forced positions. Sure I could have introduced her to a tool and forced her to do things just to “speed up” the process, but then I hardy teach her to think for herself. I don’t teach her to play. I don’t teach her to want to follow.

Don’t bully your dog because it’s not fast.
