With the candy bowl filling up, a quick reminder for pet families.

Chocolate, xylitol, and raisins are all dangerous for pets, and candy wrappers can cause problems of their own. Keep the stash somewhere your pet cannot reach, and remind the kids to do the same.

If your pet gets into something they should not, call us right away at (910) 347-1219.

It is National Veterinary Technician Week and our techs are the heart of this place.

They comfort nervous patients, monitor anesthesia, are your lab-work technicians, surgical nurses, dental hygienists, and somehow still find a way to make everyone feel cared for, pets and people alike. We would be lost without them.

Have a tech here who has taken great care of your pet? Name them in the comments so we can pass it along.

Happy Global Cat Day to every cat and the people who serve them.

Cats are famously good at acting like nothing is wrong, even when something is. That quiet toughness is exactly why regular checkups matter so much for them, indoor cats included.

If it has been a while since your cat's last visit, call us at (910) 347-1219!

🐾💕 From Puppy Paws to Big Girl Paws! 💕🐾

Look how much our sweet April has grown! 🥹❤️

April is a beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog who we've had the pleasure of caring for since she was just a little puppy, and watching her grow has been such a joy!

From her adorable puppy visit in February to the big, beautiful girl she is today, April has grown so much in just eight months! 🐶🐾

One thing hasn't changed - those gorgeous eyes and that sweet face we fell in love with from day one! ❤️

One of our favorite parts of veterinary medicine is getting to watch sweet pups like April grow up right before our eyes. We're so grateful to be part of her journey! 🥰

🐶💡 FUN FACT FRIDAY💡🐾

Did you know dogs have three eyelids? 👀

Along with the upper and lower eyelids we can easily see, dogs have a third eyelid called the nictitating membrane. It sits near the inner corner of the eye and helps protect the eye and spread tears across its surface. 💧

Most of the time, you barely notice it but it plays an important role in keeping those puppy-dog eyes protected! 🐶❤️

Just another amazing feature hiding in plain sight!

🐾 FOUND DOG! 🐾

This sweet little guy was found late this morning off Huff Drive. ❤️🐶

Thankfully, Tonya was kind enough to stop and pick him up to keep him safe and prevent him from getting hit by a car.

If this little one belongs to you or you know who his family might be, please contact Tonya at 910-545-2436.

🐾 Please be prepared to provide proof of ownership, such as photos, veterinary records, or other identifying information. No microchip was found.

❤️ Please share so we can help get this sweet boy back home to his family!

Today is Pet Obesity Awareness Day, and it is a good reminder that those extra treats add up.

Carrying extra weight makes everyday movement harder on your pet and can affect their comfort and energy over time. The encouraging part is that small changes to food, portions, and activity really do make a difference.

Not sure where your pet stands? Call us to schedule a weight check and a nutritional consultation!
