Meet Nicole 🤎

The heart behind Nik Nak Pet Care and a lifelong animal lover with over six years of veterinary experience. I've had the joy of caring for five amazing dogs of my own, and since 2022, I've been providing full-time, personalized pet care built on trust, compassion, and medical expertise.

My journey with animals began at an early age. Like many animal lovers, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. That dream led me to work at a busy emergency and specialty veterinary hospital, where I started as a receptionist at 22. It didn't take long before I completed veterinary assistant training and began supporting both the front desk and medical teams. Through this hands-on experience, I developed key skills such as: taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration), placing IV catheters, administering oral and injectable medications and assisting with CPR and emergency care.

As I advanced to Client Service Supervisor, I worked directly with pet parents to ensure their fur babies received exceptional care. Many of those same families eventually trusted me with their pets at home. With my strong foundation in veterinary care and deep love for animals, I bring peace of mind to every client and gentle, knowledgeable care to every pet. Whether your furry friend needs a walk, specialized attention, or a companion while you're away, you can count on me to treat your babies as if they were my own.

Meet the duo behind Nik Nak Pet Care 🐾

From a season of uncertainty to something real. At the time, Nicole was working at a veterinary hospital, but quickly realized the environment didn't align with her values. The culture felt off, and after just a few weeks, it became clear that it wasn't the right fit. Leaning on Edwin for support, he suggested they go thrifting together. Not just for fun, but to see if they could find a few things to clean up and resell. That day, they found a few pairs of shoes, cleaned them up, posted them online and to their surprise, they sold quickly. It wasn't just a small win. It was a spark that reminded them that with creativity, hustle, and heart, they could build something of their own.

Edwin encouraged Nicole to explore her true lifelong passion: animals. Her deep connection with them had always been part of who she is. They created a profile on a trusted network for pet care, and before long, Nicole was walking dogs, doing drop-ins, and building genuine relationships with local pet families. She lit up doing it not just because of her experience, but because she truly cared. As demand for her services grew, so did the need for support. Edwin stepped in to help, and with their shared love for animals, it felt like a natural next step. That's when they both realized this wasn't just a side hustle it was something real, something worth building.

Together, they built Nik Nak Pet Care from the ground up a business rooted in compassion, trust, and personalized care. It's not just about pet sitting or dog walking it's about giving pet parents peace of mind and pets the love and attention they deserve. Today, Nicole and Edwin are proud to offer a service shaped by experience, fueled by heart, and grounded in the values that got them here: love, trust, and a whole lot of hustle. What began as a challenging moment turned into their greatest adventure.
