We love taking our pups out to lunch! Not only are these outings fun, but they’re also a great opportunity to practice real-world training!

Meet Shadow! He’s here for our Behavior Camp to work on his reactivity toward dogs and people. Last week, he did an amazing job lounging at Cantina Louie, staying calm, and taking in his surroundings!

🐾 Luna’s Transformation 🐾

Luna, a 5.5-month-old German Shepherd, came to us fearful, reactive to people and dogs, as well as nervous in her environment.

At just 5 months old, her owners recognized that her behavior was more than something she would simply “grow out of.” Excessive fear, reactivity, and barking at people are not behaviors we consider normal puppy behavior, and waiting for them to resolve on their own can allow them to become more established and difficult to manage.

They made the decision to address the problem early — before it had the opportunity to escalate.

Luna spent 4 weeks in our Behavior Modification Program, where we focused on building confidence, creating neutrality, and teaching her how to calmly navigate the world around her.

She doesn’t need to be friends with every person or dog she sees. But she does need to be able to exist around people without feeling the need to bark, react, or become overwhelmed.

Early intervention can make a huge difference. We’re incredibly proud of Luna’s progress and excited to see her continue developing. 🖤🐕

He does great in public and thrives on field trips. He is fully trained in obedience, socialization, manners along with off leash. He is super sweet and dog friendly. Every dog comes to us with different needs, and every dog learns at their own pace!

Chewy & Pebbles are littermates who came to us barking at just about everything they saw. They worked on learning how to stay calm, focused, and neutral around the world around them.

Hank, our big lovable doodle, needed a confidence boost. He used to be scared of just about everything, and it has been amazing watching him become more comfortable and confident!

Walter the Malinois is just a happy guy who needed some help with impulse control and basic obedience. He worked hard on learning how to channel all that enthusiasm into better manners!

All four pups joined us for one of our Board & Train programs and graduated on different timelines. We know that no two dogs learn exactly the same, so we make sure each pup gets the time they need to truly be ready to go home and succeed.
