✅ Fact: Behavior isn’t defined by breed labels. It’s shaped by genetics, environment, training, and the individual dog in front of you.

⭐️ Why it matters: These misunderstandings don’t just create fear. They lead to real dogs being judged before they’re known.

These are incredibly sweet, loyal dogs. Misinformation is what keeps them out of homes and in shelters.

Is training just a one time thing? This is a hard question, of course teaching thing for the first time with a trainer is the best choice, but how do I make sure my dog stays obedient! Practice! Just like us, skills we don’t use we loose! This morning on my day off I had to run to Home Depot and it was the perfect time to bring L & R for a check in on their skills. No surprisingly they are amazing like I thought!

Moments like today remind me of why I got into this job, that a single dog can change a group of people. Working with on this case was in my top 5 hardest cases. Brownie came for a board and train in December, she didn’t know a name, that she was a dog and the one thing she did know was people were cruel, all except Adam who dedicated much of his free time in finding humans to help her. When I met her she didn’t trust a soul let alone know how to be a dog and expirence joy. Adam spent sleepless nights in dedication to brownie and watching her grow through training renewed my why for being in this job after a particularly hard few months. Brownie then ended up with Sean then most dedicated foster I had met who happened to walk her into what would be her future moms work. The humans and sacrifices and combined skills of the community who came together for brownie inspire me. Today gave me the warm fuzzies like no else. Welcome home Brownie, your mom Kendal is part of the pack forever now, happy gotcha day you both! We are honored to be a page in your story!
