The Animal Adoption Center (AAC) is located in Jackson Hole, WY and was founded in 2004.

Our mission: Saving the lives of homeless animals through rescue, adoption, education, and spay/neuter.

Applejack

Male, 3.5 months old, DSH

Meet Applejack! This little guy is full of personality. He is extremely playful and social, always ready to chase a toy, explore, or make a new friend. Applejack loves being around people and is happiest when he’s part of the action. He would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a fun, affectionate, and outgoing kitten to grow up with.

Please note, Animal Adoption Center cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our cats as we usually have no history prior to them entering the rescue. We make every effort to ensure the cats are healthy.

Please know that our intention is to insure long lasting committed homes for the animals at the AAC. If we feel that an animal and a potential owner are not a good fit we reserve the right to refuse adoption.

-Adoption is considered final upon bringing your cat home and signing an adoption agreement, however; when adopting a cat the AAC recognizes that an adjustment period of days or weeks may be necessary before it is fully comfortable in it’s new home. The AAC grants a two week trial period with cat adoptions to ensure that a good match is made. If a cat is returned within two weeks of adoption we will refund the adoption fee.
-We welcome out-of-area adopters, but please be aware we do require prospective adopters to come to our facility and meet the animal in person. Before you make the trip we encourage you to fill out an adoption application and submit it, to be sure you will qualify to adopt. Adoption applications can be filled out on our website. We cannot "hold" any animal. We have a "first qualified adopter can adopt" policy.
-We will not ship animals.
-Feel free to send over an inquiry or fill out an application for a cat you are interested in!

Welcome home Zoe. We’re so happy you made it!! 🫶

Zoe, formerly known as Rotisserie and lovingly called Roti, has officially joined the proud ranks of AAC alumni! After 217 days, a whole lot of medical care, and so many people showing up for her, we could not be more excited to be celebrating a very happy adoption for a very beloved longtime resident.

We are excited to host a free spay/neuter clinic for tribal pets on November 6th-8th. Doors open at 8:30am all three days and pets will be served on a first come first serve basis.

Do not feed your pets before surgery.

We are happy to serve dogs and cats. Puppies and kittens must be at least 6 weeks to have surgery. Vaccines and microchips are also available.

There will also be a vaccine clinic at Black Coal Senior Center on November 6 from 2-6pm & November 7th from 10am-3pm.
All services will be provided free of charge.
