The American Heartworm Society has released the 2025 Heartworm Incidence map. Unfortunately, West Tennessee is a major hot spot for Heartworms. Heartworms are spread by mosquitoes and all it takes is one bite for your dog to be infected. We offer Simparica Trio (Heartworm, flea, and tick monthly pill) and Proheart 6 (6month Heartworm injection) or Proheart 12 (12 month Heartworm injection.) Meet Lexie! Lexie is a Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician who graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2021. Upon graduating, Lexie moved to Nashville to further her career in emergency medicine. While working in several emergency hospitals over the last 5 years, Lexie married her husband during this time. They recently moved to Alamo, in hopes of starting a family soon. She prides herself on superb patient care and ensuring not only her patients, but their owners have a great experience, as well. While veterinary medicine is her passion, she also enjoys going to church, listening to music, and spending quality time with her husband and two dogs.

Lilies may be beautiful, but they are extremely toxic to cats. Even small exposures—like licking pollen off their fur or drinking water from a vase—can lead to severe kidney failure.

🐾 Signs of toxicity may include:
• Vomiting
• Lethargy
• Loss of appetite

If you suspect your cat has been exposed, seek veterinary care immediately—early treatment can be lifesaving.

💐 This holiday, consider choosing pet-safe flowers instead and keep your feline family members safe.
