If your ideal companion wears an invisible cutoff tank, never skips leg day, and is always down to hype you up, Demetri is ready to join your squad. This younger adult American Bully mix is pure muscle, high energy, and maximum good vibes!

Demetri operates on full-send mode when it comes to making friends. He absolutely adores every single human he meets and has been an absolute legend with all the dogs here at the shelter. He is the guy at the gym who aggressively compliments your squat form and gives high-fives to everyone in the room. The only exception? Cats. Some owner out there managed to lose a gorgeous, 1-year-old merle-coated bully mix beauty and then just never bothered to claim her. Honestly? Their massive loss, your incredible gain!

At just 1 year old, Bingo is a fun-loving, confident, and delightfully outgoing girl who is ready to upgrade from "stray" to "pampered family royalty." She is dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and pretty much ready to be everyone's favorite new cuddle buddy.

Now, is she a fully finished product? Absolutely not. She’s a teenager! She’s still working on basic manners and mastering the fine art of walking nicely on a leash instead of pulling you toward adventure like a sled dog. These 4 ran away from home in the skid plate of an SUV, and ended up with us this afternoon. They’ll need a foster for about 6 weeks, if any of you lovely people would like to trade sleep for kitten snuggles. They’ll need to be bottle fed and stimulated to relieve themselves for the first few weeks, which we realize is a big ask. No promises on their long-term ease of care, but they readily took bottles on their first feeding with us.

This afternoon, Animal Control received a call for service regarding a puppy that had been found in a dumpster at the corner of Highview and Richmond. Upon arrival, a small black male puppy was found among the trash, and taken back to our shelter for a bath. He’s since been named Oscar the Grouch, for obvious reasons.

Here’s where you all come in-
Oscar didn’t deserve to be thrown out like trash, and somebody out there knows who he belonged to. If anyone has information regarding this incident, please reach out to our office or the Jackson Police Department non-emergency line.
