Before we closed, I was speaking with an agent for whom I have great respect, asking his opinion about getting into insurance. He told me, "If you make it in the business 3 years, you'll be OK." I texted him this week to let him know I'm still hanging in there! 😁 God put me in a place that has integrity and truly cares about their customers AND the staff, and He's the reason I'll be successful!

Last night our agency was honored to win Best Insurance Agency in Madison County by Hometown Madison Magazine! I'm at Robin Covington State Farm these days. Robin cares for her customers like dad did so it's been a great fit, and I've been blessed to have such a great team to work with 🥰

Funny story... when Dad (Dr. Coward) was interning with another vet in the 70's, the older doc always kept a pen behind his ear. He puts a glass thermometer into the nether regions of a fractious Jack Russell while the owner held the dog. He and Dad walk out of the room to write some notes while waiting for the thermometer to register temp. Older doc grabs the pen from behind his ear to make notes, realizes he is holding the thermometer, just looks at Dad and says I'm going to need you to go back in there and get my pen. 😆 true story
