Summer vacation has just begun and Scarlett, one of our young animal lovers, has been hard at work raising money for JCAS animals. 💙❤️💙

Scarlett spent this past weekend running a lemonade stand and raised $68 for the shelter! Today, she stopped by to deliver her donation along with dog and cat treats and toys for the animals.

And this isn't the first time Scarlett has thought of our shelter pets. This past Christmas, using money she had been saving, Scarlett bought treats for every dog in our care, making sure they all had something special for the holidays. 💙❤️💙

Thank you, Scarlett, for your big heart and for making a difference in the lives of homeless pets!!! We are so lucky to have young animal lovers like you in our community! 💙❤️💙

DOG: This little peanut is Stewie, he is 2 year old Chihuahua mix that came in with multiple other small pups from one home. Stewie is friendly, curious and gets along with most other dogs. He has some deformity to his legs which causes him to walk a little different. Stewie has developed great coping skills and can sit up on his back legs with amazing skill. He is not a barker or jumper but enjoys the company of his human. Come meet this sweet boy today, he is neutered and ready for adoption 🐶

CAT: King Ember is the name of this handsome orange tabby who was found as a stray. He is 2 years old and about 8lbs. King has lovely green eyes and a pink nose. He is quiet, enjoys naps and is fond of treats. King is a great observer, just taking in all the sights and sounds at the shelter waiting for his perfect person. Orange tabbys are celebrated for their outgoing, friendly, mischievous behaviors. King is available today 😻
