Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall!

We’re officially in the BER months and personally? we love when it starts to get cooler and the days start to get shorter. It’s comforting, beautiful and relaxing - even for the pups!

We’ve been in the kitchen baking away, experimenting different recipes and getting orders out. Throughout one of our experiments, we made our Doggy Breath Busters which we thought we were going to send out for a GA today however we were unsatisfied with how they looked and we believe we can do better —
taste wise? A+ from our dog
breath buster? Made stinky into minty
ingredient wise? Oats, Mint, Parsley and Coconut Oil

Dog Nail Trims Available! ✨

As part of a huge dog lover, within the next few years I’ll be slowly learning dog grooming and veterinary care for my career in the future and while I have the time, I plan on gaining experience on some of the simple techniques - such as mobile nail trims.

We have multiple pets at home and I have trimmed their nails for the past 5 years. I have shadowed my aunt who also happens to do animal nail trimming as a veterinarian, a few times.

I am patient, gentle and this is a perfect way to get your dogs nails trimmed down for the summer.

$5 regular trim session -

$10 dremel session -

I absolutely love dogs and I have always taken the time to slow down and give extra attention to the dogs, whatever makes them most comfortable.

🚨 Shelter Supply Drive! 🚨

I’ve been spending a lot of time at our local animal shelter lately, and it’s been weighing on my heart. There are so many sweet dogs and kittens who are struggling to find homes but the shelter is running low on the things that help them feel safe and loved

They desperately need dog leashes, kennels, kitten food, toys, blankets - honestly, anything that makes life a little better for a shelter baby waiting to find their forever home.

Here is how we are pulling our community together:

Meet Wiggles! ❤️🐾

Everyone please give a warm hello to our new foster pup here at Serenity’s Barkery and to this beautiful girl! She’s a queen with the biggest heart you’ll meet.

Wiggles is a petite fella who weighs in at only 25 pounds. When she first arrived at Southeast Missouri Pets, staff thought she was a puppy, however upon looking at her teeth condition and body structure she is surprisingly fully grown and is approximately 2-5 years old!

Unfortunately, her past is not as sweet as she is.
She came in as a found stray. Her fur had multiple patches missing and she was extremely underweight which is why you can currently see her 2 back ribs. After spending some days in the care of the staff, she is finally up for adoption and looking to find her perfect forever home!
Here are some things that make her awesome —

🐈 Respectful about cats and their personal space
🐶 Polite with any dogs she meets
❤️ Her tail is ALWAYS wagging, even with all she’s been through (hence her name)
🐾 Super Smart! She has already been learning how to sit for a treat and meals
😍 Loves to snuggle up on the couch with anyone and has NEVER met a person she didn’t love
🛁 She is awesome in the bathtub when she has her medicated baths 2 days a week to help her skin
🏡 Loves to get pets and a delicious treat from kids
☀️ Walks great on a leash
🥳 Currently learning crate and potty training and is doing fantastic at both
🦴 Loves a good tug-a-war match
📷 Very photogenic 🙂

We would all love for Miss Wiggle-Butt to go to the most perfect home that will understand what’s she been through, help heal with her and love her unconditionally! If you’re in the Altenburg area, make sure you check out Candy & Curiosities! Not only can you pick up a selection of our dog treats but you can also pick from a wide variety of different sweets! When we were there for a market last Sunday and it smelled amazing in their store (plus the air conditioning was very soothing in 90+ degree weather) 😂
