This September marks 5 whole years of being a farrier. Wow… it really has FLOWN by…. It’s hard to wrap my head around it !

These past 5 years has really shaped me as not only a horse person but as a professional. Every horse has had something new to teach me, provided a challenge, or sometimes gave me faith that sound minded horses still existed😆 either way horses good, bad, young, old , etc. have made their way into my heart. Every horse past and present has been such a privilege to work on.

I cannot send a big enough thank you out to owners and clients. You guys are who allow me to live out this dream everyday. A lot of you have become such close friends and feel like family ! I truly feel so grateful that I’m trusted with your equine partners. It’s hard to put into words how special all of this is to me… yall seriously mean the world and I don’t ever take it for granted 🫶🏼

I cannot wait to continue this crazy journey with yall ! Thank you so much for last 5 years and cheers to many more ! 🥂

If your farrier keeps a strict schedule or asks to shorten your horse's cycle....its not a control thing, its not a money grab...they have the best interest of your horse in mind!

For every 1 cm of excess toe length, the soft tissues—specifically the deep digital flexor tendon, the superficial digital flexor tendon, and the suspensory ligaments—have to take on an additional 110 lbs of tension. If the soft tissues are already compromised by injury, conformational flaws, strain from work load etc the effects of "being long" could be severe.

Pictured below is the growth from just a 4 week trim on my personal horse!🤯 Seasonal change, weather, exercise etc can have a significant impact on their growth....clearly seen here.

This means that from now until then it’s crunch time… - If you need to make a new appointment or reschedule spots are very limited. 🗓️
- Note that your horse might have to wait until after my vacation to be done until late June. ☀️
- Please be mindful of when your next appointment is scheduled and make sure it still works for you 📆
- I will do my best to respond to questions / concerns while I’m out of town but WiFi will likely be unavailable at times 💬
- If you have an emergency, call your vet 🩺

I am taking some much needed time away in the mountains for my birthday… thank you all for your loyalty, flexibility, and understanding. I can’t wait to share stories and pictures from this trip with y’all when I come back ! 🏔️
