Seven years ago, Emily Kent sold her mare Smart Lil Brooksinic — affectionately known as “Pink” — to Lynne Faust, and that sale started the friendship between Emily and Lynne.

Pink was Emily’s first cowhorse that she trained and took to the pen herself.

Yesterday, Emily swung her leg over Pink for the first time in 7 years. Without ever working a cow together in 7 years, the two laid down a 148.5 down the fence — truly amazing, bittersweet, and quite emotional to watch.

Smart Lil Brooksinic added just over $1,200 to her already impressive LTE yesterday:

Tied 4th - Open Bridle
Tied 3rd - Intermediate Open Bridle
Tied 1st - Limited Open Bridle

Watching Tenzley grow has been something special. ❤️
