We have had quite a few lately that have been wanting to come visit the puppies. I'm sorry, but that is just not something we do. We practice the best biosecurity we are able to do. Even if this cost us the sale of the puppy, their health is more important.
Biosecurity simply means the steps we take to protect our dogs, puppies, and families from illness. In a breeding program, this is criticalโespecially for newborn puppies and pregnant or nursing mothers.
Puppies are born with immature immune systems. Even common germs that donโt affect adult dogs can be life-threatening to them. Viruses like parvo, distemper, and herpes virus can be carried in on shoes, clothing, hands, or even healthy-appearing dogs.
Thatโs why we don't allow visitors, always hand washing and clean footwear, avoid dog-heavy public places, and carefully control contact with outside animals. These measures arenโt about being โoverprotectiveโโtheyโre about responsible breeding and puppy survival.
Strong biosecurity:
โข Protects vulnerable puppies during their most critical weeks
โข Keeps our adult dogs healthy and stress-free
โข Reduces the risk of devastating outbreaks
โข Ensures puppies go home healthy and thriving
Our goal is to raise puppies with the best possible start in life. Biosecurity is one of the most important tools we have to make that happen. Thank you for understanding ๐ค๐ถ
