Two protected wolves illegally shot and killed over false rumors of an alledged release location and put a family's life in danger. Will people ever learn or are we just going to remain ignorant ? I try to understand why people do what they do but I just can't wrap my head around the way they think.

A storm of wolf release misinformation struck the Western Slope over the past three weeks, culminating in an erroneous article claiming a batch of wolves was released on a Pitkin County ranch.

Please stop killing our wolves . They are here for a reason God didn't make a mistake. Every animal is here to serve a purpose and when you kill off the animal then it sets off an imbalance in nature that takes years to correct if it can be corrected at all. If wolves become extinct then the balance can't be restored. Im speaking plainly so everyone can understand how it works without having a college degree to understand what the hell is happening to our planet and it's not about global warming. It's about stupid people doing stupid s**t and not knowing the outcome of a situation because they didn't take the time to research. Just saying.

Oregon has had its first confirmed wolf mortality of 2025. A wolf in the Frazier Mountain Pack in Northeast Oregon was killed for livestock conflicts on January 12th, 2025 and it’s the 4th wolf under a permit Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife has issued to kill a total of 6 wolves in the Frazier Mountain Pack in Northeast Oregon for livestock conflicts. The other 3 wolves from this pack killed for livestock conflicts were killed between November - December 2024. The permit expires January 31st, 2025 or until all 6 wolves are killed prior.
