Experienced Horse Care Staff Wanted
🐴John T. Oxley Equestrian Center | Ithaca, NY🐴
The John T. Oxley Equestrian Center is seeking reliable, experienced horse care professionals to join our team on a casual and part-time basis.
🔴This position is ideal for individuals with previous horse care and barn experience who are interested in:
Filling in for student employees during academic breaks and holidays
Covering occasional staff absences
Picking up regular scheduled shifts throughout the year
Getting horse time and some physical activity at the barn outside of your regular day.
Responsibilities
Daily horse care, including feeding, watering, and stall cleaning
Turning horses in and out
Monitoring horse health and reporting concerns
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized barn environment
Other routine barn duties as assigned
🔴Qualifications🔴
Previous horse care experience required
Ability to safely handle horses of various ages and temperaments
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
Ability to perform physical barn work in all weather conditions
Weekend and holiday availability preferred
