🐾✨ Meet the Trainer – Kristina ✨🐾

Kristina has been training dogs at Happy Tails Ranch for the past 8 years and brings both passion and knowledge into every class she teaches! 💛🐶

Her journey began with her own reactive German Shepherd, whom she was able to successfully compete with in:
🏅 AKC Obedience
🏅 Rally
🏅 Scentwork
🏅 Agility

Kristina has also successfully shown her conformation Boxer in AKC Obedience, Rally, and Scentwork, earning several High in Trial awards along the way. 🏆 No matter the breed, with proper training, communication, and shaping, truly magnificent things can be accomplished. 💛🐕

Along the way, she mentored under many trainers to learn a wide variety of training techniques, behavior modification approaches, and husbandry skills.

Kristina currently competes in IGP (historically known as Schutzhund) with her two German Shepherds and has a strong passion for engagement, shaping behavior, and building clear communication through clicker training. 🐾✨

She is highly knowledgeable in:
✔ Operant Conditioning
✔ Classical Conditioning
✔ Marker Training & Engagement Work

💡 Fun Fact: Kristina is also a mental health counselor at a local private practice! Her interest in psychology and understanding how dogs learn is what originally drew her deeper into dog training.

Kristina understands that certain behaviors, goals, and training struggles can feel overwhelming or anxiety-inducing for both owners and dogs. Through patience, consistency, and clear communication, she helps teams build confidence and better relationships together. 💛
