🐾 LET’S TALK ALLERGIES & SKIN ISSUES 🐾
This is Mr. Odin or Odie as I call him!
A lot of people don’t know that at my salon, I’m passionate about helping dogs who struggle with allergies, irritated skin, yeast, bacteria, dryness, itching, and other skin-related issues.
Odie is a perfect example. He has struggled with allergies and significant skin irritation following mold exposure. As you can see, his belly and paws are still irritated, but believe it or not, this is a HUGE improvement from when he first came to me! He was so red and raw, and now his skin is healing and we’re even starting to see hair grow back!
And this improvement started after tailoring a specialized grooming plan to help target those problem areas.
Here at my salon I offer:
🧴 Chlorhexidine baths are one of the specialized options I offer. Chlorhexidine is an antimicrobial ingredient commonly used in veterinary dermatology to help manage certain bacterial and yeast-related skin problems.
🌾 Oatmeal baths are another option I offer when a dog needs something gentler and more moisturizing. They can help soothe dry, itchy skin and calm down inflammation.
💙 I also offer specialized aftercare products, including my cooling blue gel, which can help soothe irritated areas, it helps heal minor cuts, hot spots, and areas dogs may be licking or scratching from irritation.
Every dog is different, so every spa day doesn’t look the same. 🐶
I don’t believe in simply putting every dog through the exact same routine. I look at what each individual dog needs and tailor their spa experience accordingly — because grooming should be about more than just making your dog look beautiful. They should leave feeling better, too.
And when it comes to ongoing skin issues, consistency is HUGE. One bath isn’t necessarily going to solve a chronic problem. Odie now comes every 4 weeks, and we’re able to consistently work on his skin issues while keeping him clean, comfortable, and looking his best.
Watching his skin improve over time has been SO rewarding and shows it works!
If your dog struggles with itching, allergies, redness, dry skin, yeast/bacterial skin issues, hot spots, or irritated paws, let’s talk about what might be appropriate for their next spa day!
