I actually forgot that I was on the farm page when I shared this. But it’s nonetheless true. I miss the energy of my teens but I LOVE being “Gramma”!

Hard to believe, but it’s true.

These women — the ones with sky-high hair, acid-wash jeans, and hoop earrings — are today’s grandmas.

Back in the 1980s, they were the queens of the mall.

They teased their bangs until they defied gravity.

They sprayed enough Aqua Net to create their own ozone layer.

They cruised around town in their friend’s Camaro, blasting Bon Jovi and Def Leppard.

They knew every word to “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.”

They owned the dance floor on Friday nights.

And they weren’t scrolling — they were living.

Life was Polaroids, cassette tapes, and mixtapes made by boys who had crushes.

It was passing notes in class, crimping your hair, and hoping your mom didn’t see how much eyeliner you used.

It was freedom.

It was fun.

It was the decade where confidence came with a side of hairspray and a killer smile.

Now those same girls are grandmas — and they’ve still got that spark.

Because the 80s didn’t just give us style.

It gave us women who knew how to laugh loud, live big, and love harder than any algorithm could ever understand.

Once an 80s girl, always an 80s girl.
