Thank you to Altman Landscaping for donating their time to help out today! There is still a lot of work that will need done by a professional tree company but the debris is cleared from the roof and a tarp is up to keep out the elements.

ADDIE WILL BE AT DEL's PLUM CREAMERY, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8 6-8pm‼

Pet Friends has been featuring videos of Addie over the past 2 months. If you haven't seen them yet, what are you waiting for....go back and take a look. This video shows the more active side of Addie as she works with a volunteer on her sit/stay commands and shows off her zoomies. She is our Happy Go Lucky Hippo. Addie is available for adoption through Pet Friends in Irwin. Applications can be submitted on our website www.petfriendsinc.com

Pet Friends followers, we are looking for help. Pet Friends rents dog kennel space from Carwen’s Boarding and Grooming in Irwin.
The storms last night caused damage to the facility.

If there are any professional landscape/tree trimmers that would be willing to donate their time to help with clean up, please contact Carwen’s at 724-864-2742 and ask for Jay.

WARNING GRAPHIC PHOTOS

In March, Pet Friends rescued Benji who had significant injuries.
Since that time, he has been attending vet appointments on a weekly basis for Phovia UV light treatment to help heal his wounds. He also required dermatology visits where it was discovered his wounds had an antibiotic-resistant bacterium. He is FIV+ which slowed down the healing process. Despite all this and his frequent vet visits, Benji maintained his sweet personality. He does well at his treatments as long as someone is brushing him and feeding him Churu treats! Yes, his fur will grow back once the treatments have ended (he gets shaved regularly for the treatments) and he does love to be brushed.

Benji took a huge step yesterday….. he played for the first time since he entered our rescue!! For 5 months, he did not feel up to doing anything but watch the video and look at him go.

Benji will soon be up for adoption so if you are looking for a sweet boy who loves life, he’s your guy! Adoption applications can be completed on the Pet Friends website www.petfriendsinc.com

What a lineup for this Saturday!! Pet Friends will be hosting an adoption event at PetSmart Monroeville. We have long hair, short hair, singles and siblings up for adoption. Remember, many cats adjust better when they have a playmate. How can you resist these faces 🐱? Not ready to adopt, then please share this post and let's see if we can hit double digit adoptions!
