Every year Dr. Shoolman gets all of us together for a Holiday Christmas Party. Usually the first weekend of December…. It’s always the kick off to a delightful December.

It’s nice to spend time with our teammates outside of the work place. We really are blessed to have each other.

Having a strong and devoted team makes life at work so much easier and more enjoyable. We wish everyone a joyous and safe holiday season and a new year full of health and happiness for you and your loved ones.

We are getting a lot of calls asking about how to keep your canine family members safe with the reports of a “mystery illness” or Canine Respiratory Disease.

To simplify the concern, please review the following.

Avoid contact with others dogs that you don’t know the history of. Activities like dog parks, boarding facilities and day care should be avoided if possible.

Watch for symptoms such as cough, sneezing, nasal discharge, and lethargy (lack of energy).

If your dog experiences the symptoms, you should take the following steps.

Contact us so that we can set an appointment to evaluate your dog and PCR testing can be ran.

Isolate sick dogs for a minimum of 28 days to avoid spread to other dogs.

Keep the areas that your dog frequents disinfected with a pet safe cleaning product.

So, in a nutshell, avoid excessive contact with other dogs and report any symptoms.

We had a wonderful night with all of our friends at Meoowz ResQ last night for their 13th annual Meoowz & Merlot! So many heavy hitters in rescue work from Dani the founder to Kathy the president and all the amazing fosters, donors and supporters.

Even though rescues are non-profits, they are still businesses. Success is measured by lives saved and cats with happy homes. Meoowz is a well-ran business with an excellent rate of success. Thousands of cats have been adopted through them in their impressive years in business.

We are thankful for the opportunity to work with Meoowz ResQ. It’s been close to 15 years!!! Saving a cat might not change the world but it changes the world of the cat!!

We value all of our rescues very much and appreciate the chance to work hand in hand and paw in paw 🐾 If you are looking to adopt or are interested in making a difference. We are happy to get you connected with one of the many rescues we work with.

Thank you Meoowz for a wonderful event and for the meaningful honoring of our Dr Koch. 💝💝💝🐾

We hope your holiday season is merry and bright. We are open regular hours all week except for Friday. New Years Eve. We will close at 4pm. And my goodness, it is another weekend that we will be closed Saturday and Sunday. It doesn’t happen too often that we are closed two days in a row.

Remember to keep your holiday treats out of reach of your pets and no table treats. Also, make sure to make plans to secure your pets on NYE night. I’m sure there will be fireworks going off.

Stay safe and healthy!!!

It’s so wonderful when our new patients bring in their records. Olive got adopted just in time for Christmas!! ❤️❤️❤️

We are in the green but we know wildfires are unpredictable so we won’t let our guard completely down. We must stay safe!!! But we ARE OPEN OUR REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS.

Today was much less stressful than yesterday. We are becoming more and more accustomed to working together through trying times.

We are thankful we get to be here to support our patients with their needs. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

10/27/2020

Our building made it safe through the night and we are open for appointments and surgeries, ect. Be safe out there please!! We will do our best to continue to stay open. For now, overnight guests are still discouraged pending developments in the local fires. Leaving loved ones who can’t escape on their own unattended doesn’t feel right with the fires so close. More updates to follow.

Thank you for your support, prayers, praise, offers to help and well wishes. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🐾🙏🏼🙏🏼 We are blessed to have each other.

It’s a scary time in Irvine and surrounding areas. We worked through most of the day with evacuation warnings and got all of our patients picked up or transferred. Our hospital is empty and we are all praying for a wind free night and strength and safety to our firefighters.

To everyone evacuated and all the pets and animals. Prayers on bended knee.

At this time, we are planning to be open regular hours tomorrow pending developments in the local fires. We wish we could do more to help.
