Look what you did!

Clear the Shelters may be over, but the new beginnings are just getting started.

Thanks to everyone who opened their homes, shared a post, brought a friend to the shelter, or helped spread the word.

Together, 103 pets found homes during this year’s campaign, including 24 of our longest-resident animals who finally got their chance to start a new chapter.

We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.

And to every pet who found their person –– enjoy your new chapter. We’ll be cheering you on from here!

As a Behavior & Socialization Foster, you’ll help shy, nervous, or under-socialized pups learn that the world is a safe and happy place.

Kitten or Puppy Fosters provide a safe, loving space for little ones to grow until they’re ready for adoption.

Volunteering in onsite Dog or Cat Care means we have the help we need to feed, clean, and provide enrichment to the animals in our care waiting for their forever homes.

Transport Volunteers make a huge difference by taking injured or orphaned wildlife straight to the specialized rehab centers they need for a chance at recovery.

💛 No experience needed; volunteers must be ages 18 and older.

Your Tuesday night just got a whole lot funnier.

Comedy Unleashed returns September 15 at the Irvine Improv, bringing an evening of live comedy, dinner, an online auction, and plenty of laughs, all in support of the pets at the Irvine Animal Care Center.

It’s a night out with a purpose. Every ticket helps support programs and services that provide care for shelter animals and help them find loving homes.

Grab your tickets, bring your favorite people, and come laugh for a good cause.

August 24–30, we had 2 dogs, 22 cats, and 1 bird adopted! The dogs were Latte and Mocha. The cats were Cumulus, Dwight, Earp, Farrah, Gizmo, Gunner, Gust, Hemera, Larry, Magpie, Meteor, Moirai, Nyx, Ron, Silver, Skip, Starling, Strato, Tux, Wally, Walter, and Yumi. The bird was Sonic. Congratulations to everyone on your new homes!

We also had 1 chameleon (Pascal) and 1 cat (Chatterbox) sent to rescue, and 1 dog and 1 turtle returned to their owners.

Tomorrow, August 31, is the last day to submit your pet photo and get your votes in for the Irvine Animal Care Center Photo Fundraiser!

Whether your pet is a professional poser, a certified goofball, or simply very good at looking adorable while doing absolutely nothing, there’s still time to get them in the running for the 2027 wall calendar.

And, remember — every $1 vote helps support Enhanced Care, Foster Care, and Third Chance for Pets.

Clear the Shelters ends August 31 and there are only a few days left to meet our longest-resident pets with waived adoption fees.

Check kennel cards for the purple Clear the Shelters icon to find eligible pets.

Your pet has entered the chat. And they have opinions about being calendar-famous.

The Irvine Animal Care Center Photo Fundraiser is almost over! Submit your favorite photo for a chance to have your pet featured in the 2027 wall calendar and help support animals at the Irvine Animal Care Center. Please make sure submitted photos are high-resolution and horizontally oriented.

Once your photo is in, rally your people and get those votes coming. Every $1 vote supports Enhanced Care, Foster Care, and Third Chance for Pets.

Photos and votes are due August 31.
