👑 LIFE LESSONS FROM MY GREAT-GRANDMOTHER SOPHIA 👑

Picture this: Jazzy’s Legacy, 2026.

My great-grandmother Sophia taught me everything I know.

She used to say, “Beatrice, if you want something, sit quietly and stare until the humans understand.”

I tried that once.

Nothing happened.

So I screamed.

Apparently, Great-Grandmother Sophia had better-trained staff.

She also taught me:

Never chase a man—unless he is carrying a rotisserie chicken.

Beauty may fade, but a strong underbite will intimidate people forever.

If you are caught doing something wrong, look confused. If that fails, look offended.

Never confess. Even if the stuffing is still hanging from your mouth, there were no witnesses and the evidence is circumstantial.

And most importantly:

Never settle for one treat when two sad looks could get you three.

Great-Grandmother Sophia was a wise woman.

Of course, she never had to deal with an exhausted rescue mom constantly asking, “BB, what are you doing now?”

For legal reasons, the answer is always:

Nothing.

🐾 ONE ADOPTION OPENS ANOTHER DOOR 🐾

Copper found his forever home—and his adoption opened a foster spot for another deserving Legacy Dog. ❤️🩵

Soon, Rocky will move into foster care with Crystal, our Director of Hearts and Homes and one of the greatest foster moms on the planet. He isn’t there yet, but this is a huge step toward helping him find the forever family he deserves.

And then there’s Hela—smart, energetic, beautiful and also still waiting for her forever home. Hela needs an active family, structure and a job worthy of that busy cattle-dog brain. Otherwise, she may assign herself one, and management cannot guarantee you’ll approve of her selection. 😂

Rocky and Hela already adore each other, but they are not a required package deal. Each is available for adoption and deserves a family of their own.

Copper’s adoption didn’t just change Copper’s life. It created room for Rocky’s next chapter—and now we’re hoping the right people will help write happy endings for both Rocky and Hela. 🏡🐾

🚨 SATURDAY MORNING PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

Following last night’s release of The Stuffy Massacre: Part Three, Jazzy’s Legacy conducted a full inventory.

The results are grim.

The toy crate—once completely full—is nearly empty. An entire population of stuffies that survived peacefully here for years has been annihilated.

Management will attempt to replenish the supply today.

This is being described internally as “buying more toys.”

Investigators are calling it delivering fresh victims directly to the suspects.

We will photograph the new arrivals before releasing them into the general population so their families have something to remember them by.

There will be no further questions at this time.

🚨 THE STUFFY MASSACRE: PART THREE — THE COVER-UP 🚨

By sunrise, the crime scene had expanded into three rooms.

Stuffing covered the floor. Bodies were everywhere. One victim had attempted to hide behind the couch. Another was discovered beneath a table. The surviving stuffies barricaded themselves behind bars and immediately requested witness protection.

Investigators initially believed the suspects had fled.

They had not.

Alfred was discovered at the scene with evidence still in his mouth.

He claims he was “providing comfort to the victim.”

The victim was unavailable for comment.

Zeus wandered through the carnage pretending he had just arrived. Unfortunately, his expression said concerned senior citizen, while his proximity to several dismembered bodies said person of interest.

Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice Buttercup was found resting peacefully in her luxury bed.

BB maintains that she slept through the entire massacre.

When investigators pointed out that stuffing was found near her personal quarters, her attorney released the following statement:

“My client is three years old, very small and far too pretty for prison. Furthermore, stuffing is not illegal to possess.”

Detectives then uncovered the most disturbing evidence yet:

A secret gathering of surviving toys hiding behind a locked gate.

They know what happened.

They know who did it.

And they are terrified that the suspects know they know.

No arrests have been made.

Mostly because everyone involved lives here, nobody is talking—and the lead investigator is also their mother.

💛 A LITTLE FAMILY WISDOM FROM SOPHIA 💛

Meet Sophia—Princess Beatrice Buttercup’s great-grandmother.

Some families pass down money, property or priceless heirlooms.

Sophia passed down the ears, the hair and the audacity.

According to Sophia:

“Back in my day, we didn’t have Alexa. We just barked until someone got up.”

She also insists that dogs today have it entirely too easy.

“We didn’t have orthopedic beds, automatic feeders or GPS trackers. We had one blanket, a human with selective hearing and the freedom to disappear behind the couch until somebody panicked.”

When asked whether BB inherited her dramatic personality, Sophia adjusted her glasses and replied:

“Absolutely not. I had standards. That child has demands.”

Suddenly, everything about BB makes sense.

🎉🐾 COPPER IS OFFICIALLY ADOPTED! 🐾🎉

We have another incredible announcement—and I can hardly believe we get to share this much happiness at once:

Copper has officially found his forever home! ❤️

Copper’s story began when he, his mother and his nine siblings were brought to the Stanislaus County Shelter when the puppies were only about one week old. Heartbreakingly, one of the puppies did not survive.

Jazzy’s Legacy pulled the family and promised these fragile babies that their lives would matter. We watched them grow, cared for them and helped them find their families.

One by one, Copper’s surviving siblings were adopted. Eventually, his brother Flower Child found his forever home, leaving Copper as the very last of the litter still waiting.

But Copper’s person was out there—and now they have found each other.

His new dad absolutely loves him, and the connection between them is truly something special. This picture was taken last night, and you can already see the trust and love growing between them. Copper looks as though he knows exactly where he belongs.

Copper also gained dog siblings, and he gets along wonderfully with them! He now has a dad who adores him, canine companions to share his days with and a family of his very own.

After watching all of his surviving brothers and sisters leave for their new lives, Copper’s turn finally came.

To Copper’s new dad: thank you for seeing this wonderful boy, loving him and choosing him. Knowing that Copper is safe, adored and surrounded by family means more than words can express.

Copper, your long wait is finally over.

You are home. You are loved. And you are finally someone’s forever. ❤️🐾

🎉❤️ SURPRISE—IZZY HAD HER SURGERY AND FOUND HER FOREVER HOME! ❤️🎉

This may be the most exciting news I have ever shared.

Izzy had her surgery, and thanks to your generosity, we raised enough to pay for it. But that isn’t the only miracle—at the very same time, Izzy found her forever family!

It all happened so quickly that I still cannot believe it.

On Sunday, Izzy’s future parents contacted us after seeing our social media posts. On Monday—the day before her surgery—we brought Izzy to their home to meet them.

Everyone fell in love.

But here is the incredible coincidence that makes this story feel even more meant to be: I had spoken with this same lovely couple several years ago after I pulled Spud, my very first dog from the Stanislaus County Shelter’s death row.

Spud was also an elderly bully who needed to be the only dog. They wanted to adopt him, but at the time, they had family staying with them who had dogs, so it simply couldn’t work.

They never stopped wanting to give a special dog a home. As soon as their circumstances allowed them to take on a dog who needed to be the one and only, they chose Izzy.

I love that their opportunity to help one special senior dog didn’t disappear—it simply waited until the time was right and led them back to us and to Izzy.

After waiting since 2024 for the right people to choose her, Izzy finally found exactly the home she needs:

👑 No small children
👑 No other animals
👑 Securely fenced property where she can safely explore
👑 Her very own deck
👑 Patient, understanding parents who will respect her boundaries
👑 A lifetime of love as the one and only queen of the castle

They understand Izzy’s history and all of her needs. They know that trust must be earned on her timeline, and they are prepared to give her the patience, security and love she deserves.

Now, after undergoing surgery, Izzy gets to recover in her new home and spend her senior years surrounded by love—as the only one, exactly as she wants it.

And just to prove how much Izzy was shared: Facebook has restricted me until the end of November because I posted and shared her so much that it apparently thinks I’m a robot. 😂 I now have to verify my identity, so hopefully Facebook will recognize that I am, in fact, a real human who is simply relentless when it comes to finding our dogs the right homes!

But honestly? If sharing Izzy until Facebook thought I was a robot helped her family find her, it was completely worth it. 🤖🐾❤️

We have packed all of her belongings, and she is beginning the life we have always dreamed of for her.

Jazzy’s Legacy will remain part of Izzy’s life. If she has future medical needs, we will continue assisting with her care because our commitment to her does not end with adoption.

Because of you, Izzy received the medical care she needed—and because of those social media shares, the family she had been waiting for finally found her.

I know Izzy will be forever grateful too.

After everything Izzy has survived, she finally gets to spend the rest of her life safe, cherished and completely spoiled.

I truly cannot believe it.

💗 **POSITIVE VIBES FOR OUR GIRLS** 💗

This morning, two very special girls need all the love, prayers and positive healing energy we can send them.

Our sweet **Izzy is having surgery today** to remove the mass that may be cancerous. We are praying the veterinarian can remove the entire mass, that surgery goes smoothly and that our senior survivor wakes up surrounded by comfort and love.

Our beloved **Bones—the matriarch of Jazzy’s Legacy—is also having a biopsy this morning.** Her veterinarian suspects she may have lupus, and we are hoping the biopsy finally gives us answers and a clear path forward for keeping our girl healthy and comfortable.

Izzy and Bones have both spent their lives showing us what strength looks like. Today, it is our turn to surround them with that same strength.
