Vom Haus Schmidt We are a kennel in central Wisconsin focusing predominantly on the West German Showline GSD.

We use the SV(German)show ring to score and rate the structure of our breeding stock,health & temperment test,title in various venues and do full genetic panels.

We spent almost a week with this beautiful young lady and her puppy Kingston(Sansa x Sting). Watch for Peyton in the show world in the upcoming months. Kingston showed us what a great nose he has and his natural knack for bite work. He was introduced to the rag this week and had an absolute blast. His structure is coming along very nicely and we are pleased with what we are seeing. We can not wait to put this girl to work in the show ring BUT watching the bond being built between this junior handler and her puppy is absolutely EVERYTHING🥰

Huge thank you to her parents Liz & Brian for trusting us with your daughter and allowing us to share our world with her. We are so thankful for the support you give to both us and your daughter. This is truly our jam, working with the juniors.

Kingston is co owned but will live and be titled by Peyton & family. They also own “River,” a female from our “E litter” between Asha x Raul and have done an AMAZING job with her. River has earned her CGC CGCA CGCU BCAT titles over the last few years with Peyton as her handler 🥰

This week, Celli & Preacher were out and about checking out flooding destruction in our neighborhood. They also checked out The Mill Coffee Shop in Bonduel. HIGHLY recommend! Awesome experience, it’s super cute, and very dog friendly. The pups loved their pup cups and we loved our coffee!

After seeing a Facebook post at 10:00 last night🫣, we decided to load our vehicles up while the sun was coming up this morning to do something a little different, and really, just enjoy the day with some of the dogs. We braved it and took a crew of 8. Topping the list of accomplishments were Archer & Omen. Both earned their AKC Temperament Titles as well as their AKC Farm Dog Certifications. It was our first experience taking dogs through the Farm Dog test and they both really enjoyed it. They are such easy going boys. We truly couldn’t ask for better than ours🥰 Tomorrow we will post the girls accomplishments. It was a ton of fun and we are tired. 🤣Huge thank you to everyone that works so hard, allowing our area these fun little opportunities. We love that our dogs can enjoy themselves and try new things all summer long.

🎉🎉 Congratulations Lyric & Raya! 🎉🎉

This week was so needed. We came into it super nervous as not just 1 “L litter” sister was going in for WUSV hips/elbows, but 2! We knew there was a very real chance we may not walk out with both girls in our program. We raise large breed, higher energy dogs, and no matter how many genetic tests we put them through to prepare future generations, so much of it is how well of a job we did at controlling their environment and protecting their joints those first years….And they’re clutzy and a little brainless sometimes, and that doesn’t always help us 😅 It was hopefully for nothing. We are ECSTATIC to report, both girls had great looking X-rays and Dr Siegel expects to see them both pass without issue. We look forward to a busy summer of earning titles and hitting a few show rings with them.

Asha, the spicy pepper in the first picture, was the girl who convinced us we needed our long coat line. 🐾Asha🐾 She’s looking much more gray these days, but we continue to enjoy our time with her as she hasn’t slowed down a whole lot in her retirement. 🥰 We will forever be incredibly grateful for all that she has blessed us with.
