Our first big cold front is here! What a beautiful morning to be in the woods!

Couple more beautiful wall pedestals 👀

Few more finished and out the door. I have under 10 to go! I'll be finished mounting heads in the next couple weeks if you're still waiting patiently!

This was a fun one for me. Charlie let me mount my first ever deer that I would not have trusted me to do. His smile was bigger this time around 😁

It's here folks! Hope to see you all at Deerfest!!

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WAOW) — DeerFest 2026 opens Aug. 14 at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Stevens Point, bringing three days of hunting, fishing and conservation programming to central

I'll be mounting a deer Saturday at noon come check it out! Neat behind the scene look into what goes into a quality Whitetail shoulder mount!

🦌 THE HUNT ENDS. THEN THE WORK STARTS.

You've got a bird in the truck, a buck on the ground, or a walleye in the livewell — and about four decisions to make before any of it ends up on a wall.

DeerFest has the whole chain under one roof.

📍 Tagged and Bagged — Booth 53
Field preservation kits for birds and fish. What you do in the first ten minutes decides whether the mount is any good.

📍 Robbie's Custom Knives — Booths 98 & 99
Handmade blades built for processing, not for a display case.

📍 Pope & Young — Booths 28 & 29
Free buck scoring, all weekend. Bring the rack.

📍 Tetzlaff Taxidermy — Booths 18 & 19
The mount itself. Talk shop before the season, not after.

🔪 And Saturday only — Tetzlaff is doing LIVE TAXIDERMY on the floor. Watch the work happen in real time.

Right around the corner!

Hunting. Fishing. Conservation. It's all DeerFest. 🎣

Some of the best moments happen before the sun's even fully up — rod in hand, mist on the water, nowhere else you'd rather be.
