Bubba and I had the privilege of taking our United Blood Trackers UBT1 tracking certification test with judges Cheri Faust and Larry Gohlke yesterday.

The accomplishment was only made better by sharing it with Hanah and Chloe of Jesz Game Recovery and Melissa and Fezzik of Odd Squad Tracking and Game Recovery! I appreciate them so much for making the trip with us and being there to share the success. Congratulations to both of them on earning their UBT1!

Huge shout out to Hannah of Mud Lake Game Recovery for helping us with get ready and laying training tracks and cheering us on!

As an added bonus, Cheri and Larry were not only kind and supportive judges, but wonderful hosts who fed us warm apple pie and let us meet puppies!!!

Big things are happening at Big Dog Tracking and Game recovery!

Today was a long day driving to Illinois to take our UBT 1 test and it paid off! We are now certified! Melissa of Odd Squad Tracking and Game Recovery and Jamie of Big Dog Tracking and Game Recovery were great company and made this a wonderful trip. Congrats to them as well! Big thanks to Cheri Faust and Larry Gohlke, our judges that were so welcoming and provided insightful feedback!

Dry weather makes for hard tracking…

But it also meant crossing a river on Sunday to follow a deer track was just a hop skip and a jump instead of a swim 😂

I wish I had pictures of the beautiful scenery, but I’m usually busy with both hands holding onto 80 pounds of beast on a leash through the woods! I had a moment of calm on a previous track for this video.

Recovery or no, it’s always a good day to be behind your dog!

Keep us in mind for known kills!!! Bubba needs the experience; the more trained dogs we have the more deer are recovered!

About Me: This will be my second season, but Bauer tracked with my boyfriend Kyle Peterson in 2020. Kamikaze hasn't been on a real track yet. Last year I took 23 tracks but this year I hope to double that.
