Welcome to Ball’s Dog Retreat at 120 Cedar Road in International, Falls, Mn. We are right in the City behind the Border Bank off of Highway 71. Although we are in the the City, we are nestled back on a unique forested, riverfront property on 2.5 acres of private secure property.

Meet our family, our fur babies, staff and friends. We have 17 separate gated yards which all open up for lots of fun play space. Each yard has its own wading pool, shelter and lots of shade.
We never mix dogs without your prior consent and when appropriate.
We have a small dog indoor play area with attached covered yard for safe and fun play.
Our main boarding area is air conditioned , heated, has stereo, TV, and videos in the evenings . We have low level night lights for a restful nights sleep.
We live and work on site and your pups are never left unattended. We are licensed with the City and State of Minnesota.
I have been working with dogs for over 20 years as a (retired groomer), trainer and boarding facility owner and operator.
Our 2025 rates are $30 per day for 1 dog or $45 for 2 from the same household. We also provide doggie daycare for $5 per hour or a half day for $20.
We require vaccination records, flea and tick protection and ask that you bring your dogs food please. And if you have a puppy or dog that likes to chew please bring them chew toys or some type of a chew treat. We don’t recommend rawhide. We have stainless steel bowls, dog cots and bedding but you’re welcome to bring your own if you like. We do give medication and ask you to write down any instructions that you want our staff to know. VERY IMPORTANT , please let us know if your dog can jump over a 6 foot fence or kennel area. We don’t take dogs that are aggressive towards humans and we will keep them in their own yards if they don’t like to interact with other dogs. They won’t be isolated and will still see our other doggo visitors but sometimes older dog’s don’t want to be pestered.
Please call at least 15 minutes ahead before 6 AM to 6 PM for pick up and drop offs. We do keep a barrier up for insurance purposes and we have a separate check in area when you arrive.
All dogs must have a collar or harness and leash as this is required by State and City laws. We offer a safe and clean environment with lots of free play and activities.
