“What does private cremation mean?”

It’s a question I’m glad when families ask. Private cremation means your pet is cremated individually, and their ashes are returned to you.

From there, you can choose what feels meaningful for your family. Some people want a simple return of their pet’s ashes. Others find comfort in an urn, a paw print, or another keepsake. You don’t have to know which you want before reaching out—I’m here to explain the options and answer your questions.

These are personal decisions, and you deserve clear information and time to make them.

Sometimes it’s the little things we miss most. The sound of paws coming down the hallway. A favorite place to nap. The way they always seemed to know when we needed them.

Those everyday moments become precious memories. They’re part of why saying goodbye is so hard—and why every pet deserves to be cared for with tenderness and respect.

If you’d like to, tell us one little thing about a pet you love or miss. We’d be honored to hear their name and their story. ❤️

Every goodbye deserves dignity.

Every Memorial Cremation Package I prepare represents a life that was deeply loved and a family learning how to say goodbye.

I take time with every detail—from carefully placing the urn and keepsakes to adding the small, personal touches that make each package feel special. These are not simply items being returned. They are tangible pieces of a life shared: a paw print, a tuft of fur, and a resting place for a beloved companion’s ashes.

My hope is that when a family receives their pet back home, they feel the care, dignity, and respect given to their companion throughout the entire journey.

Because behind every package is a pet who mattered, memories worth preserving, and a family whose love will continue long after goodbye.

Every goodbye deserves dignity.

Grief does not follow a schedule.

It can arrive in the quiet of the morning, when you reach for the leash out of habit. It can find you at dinnertime, when the house feels too still, or when you notice an empty spot on the couch that never felt empty before.

Losing a pet means losing a member of your family. You lose the routines you shared, the familiar sounds of paws on the floor, and the constant presence of someone who loved you without asking for anything in return.

Some days, the memories will bring tears. Other days, they will make you smile. Both are part of grieving, and neither means you are moving too quickly—or not quickly enough.

There is no correct way to mourn a pet, and there is no deadline for missing them. Be gentle with yourself. Speak their name. Tell their stories. Hold onto the memories that made your life together so special.

The depth of your grief reflects the depth of the love you shared—and that love does not end with goodbye.

Every goodbye deserves dignity.

After a busy week at the Northwest Michigan Fair, it felt especially good to slow down and spend a little quiet time with my pups.

They have a way of reminding us that the best moments are often the simplest ones—a warm afternoon, a comfortable lap, a silly pair of sunglasses, and the company of someone who loves you completely.

That is really what Paws’d in Time is about. Our pets aren’t just part of our lives—they’re part of our families, our routines, our happiest memories, and the ordinary moments that become precious before we even realize it.

So take the walk. Give the extra treat. Let them stay in your lap a little longer. Take the pictures, even the silly ones.

The time we have with them is never long enough, but the love they give us stays forever.

Every goodbye deserves dignity.

What a week. ❤️

Now that the Northwest Michigan Fair has come to an end, I just want to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Paws’d in Time booth.

Thank you for saying hello, asking questions, picking up information, looking at the keepsakes, and taking the time to learn a little more about what I do.

And especially, thank you to those of you who stopped and shared stories about your pets with me.

I heard about the ones waiting for you at home, the ones getting a little older, and the ones you’ve had to say goodbye to but still miss every single day.

Those conversations meant a lot to me.

I also want to say a huge thank you to my friends and family who gave their time, helped at the booth, and worked behind the scenes to make the week possible. Paws’d in Time may be my business, but having people who believe in what I’m doing and are willing to show up and support me means more than I can say. ❤️

One of the reasons I wanted Paws’d in Time at the fair was simply to meet more of the families in our community before you ever need my services.

Because I hope you don’t need me anytime soon.

But someday, if you do, I want you to know there is someone local you can call. Someone who will answer your questions, explain what happens next, and understand that the pet you’re trusting me with isn’t a transaction.

They’re family.

Until then, give them an extra scratch behind the ears, take too many pictures, and enjoy all those ordinary little moments that someday won’t feel ordinary at all.

Thank you, Northern Michigan, for such a wonderful week and for continuing to welcome Paws’d in Time into this community. 🐾❤️

If you ever need me, I’m here.

We’re down to the last two days at the Northwestern Michigan Fair, and I have one request:

If you’ve walked past the Paws’d in Time booth and thought, “I’ve always wondered how this works,” please stop and ask me. 🐾

You are not bothering me.

It isn’t a strange question.

And you absolutely do not need to be facing the loss of a pet to come talk to me.

Actually, I would much rather meet you now.

Ask how cremation works. See the keepsakes in person. Pick up information to take home. Ask about planning ahead. Or just introduce yourself and tell me about the four-legged family waiting for you at home.

One thing this week has reminded me of is just how many people have questions about pet aftercare but have never really had a comfortable place to ask them.

That’s exactly what I want Paws’d in Time to be.

A local place where you can ask questions, understand your choices, and know who will be caring for your pet when that day eventually comes.

We’re here today and tomorrow, so come find the Paws’d in Time booth and say hello. I’d really love to meet you. ❤️

One of my favorite parts of being at the Northwest Michigan Fair has been the conversations.

People stop by because they recognize the Paws’d in Time name.

Some have questions about how pet cremation works.

Some want to see the keepsakes we offer.

Some are planning ahead for an older pet at home.

And some just stop to tell me about a dog or cat they loved and still miss. ❤️

I’ve also heard more than once, “I wish I had known you were here when I needed this.”

That one stays with me.

It’s exactly why being here and having these conversations matters.

You don’t have to wait until you’re facing a loss to ask questions. You can stop by, learn about your options, take some information home, and hopefully feel a little more prepared if that difficult day ever comes.

And if you already know Paws’d in Time, come say hello anyway. I’d love to meet you.

We’re here at the Northwest Michigan Fair and looking forward to meeting more of our Northern Michigan neighbors. 🐾

We’re set up and ready at the Northwestern Michigan Fair! 🐾

If you’re out enjoying the fair, stop by the Paws’d in Time booth and say hello.

Most of us don’t spend much time thinking about what happens when we lose a pet until we’re suddenly faced with it. By then, you’re trying to make decisions while your heart is already broken.

That’s one of the reasons I wanted to be here.

Stop by, pick up some information, see the keepsakes we offer, and ask me anything you’ve ever wondered about pet cremation or planning ahead.

There’s no pressure and there are no uncomfortable questions. I’m simply here to help families understand their options before they need them.

I’m also really looking forward to meeting more of the people who make Northern Michigan such a special place to call home.

Come find us at the fair and say hi. ❤️🐾

One keepsake often becomes the one families treasure most.

When people think about memorial keepsakes, they usually picture an urn.

What surprises many families is that the keepsake they reach for most often isn’t the urn at all.

It’s the paw print.

There’s something deeply comforting about seeing every little detail—the shape of their paw, the pads, the tiny marks that made them uniquely yours.

Years from now, that paw print can bring back memories of muddy footprints across the kitchen floor, walks through the woods, afternoons on the couch, or the sound of paws running to greet you at the door.

That’s why every one of our private cremation packages includes a cast paw print, an ink paw print, and a tuft of fur.

Many families also choose an additional paw print so multiple family members can each have one to keep. It’s a simple addition that often becomes one of the most meaningful decisions they make.

You only have one opportunity to preserve those memories.

If you have questions about our keepsakes or would like to plan ahead, I’m always happy to walk you through your options—without any pressure.
