simba turned 17 years old 🥹🐾💛

lately he has a cough that mostly happens at night and in the morning. we’ve been to multiple vets and they’ve said it can be common with age, but I’m always trying to make him more comfortable.

things that seem to help him:
• a little Manuka honey 🍯
• warm food 🍲
• laying in the laundry room (he loves the calm + warmth)
• steam from the shower 🚿
•humidifier
•massages

I tried slippery elm but it didn’t work well for him 💩 so I stopped it.

if anyone has gentle tips or has gone through something similar with a senior dog, I would really appreciate it 🥹🐾

we came to the beach… and he just sat in the sun, calm and happy 🌊☀️

no big plans, just being together 💛

Every night, Simba follows the same little routine 🐶💛
a snack in the kitchen… and his favorite spot before bed 🐾

we don’t go outside at night anymore, especially on rainy nights like this 🌧️
now it’s all about comfort, routine, and making things easier for him

tomorrow is his birthday… 🥹💛April 1st 17 years old
and I’m just so grateful for every moment with him

One day, my Shih Tzus and I went to the vet in Mexico 🐾💛
Simba, Oreeo, and Kookie were all with me…

and that’s when we found her.
Under a tree… with her mom and siblings… abandoned 🥺

This is Canela 🐶💛
and today, she’s living her best life… in her favorite place—her water bowl 😅💧

Her story is just the beginning…
I can’t wait to share how she, and so many others, became part of our family 🐾✨
