As we’re getting into flea & tick season, I just wanted to share something that’s worked really well for me. I personally use k9 Advantix on my dogs (and the feline version for my cats), and it’s been around forever for a reason, it works. It helps prevent fleas before they become a problem, instead of waiting until your pet is already dealing with them.

A lot of people go straight to the oral flea pills, but something to keep in mind is that fleas have to bite your pet first in order to die. For dogs that are sensitive or allergic to fleas, that bite alone can cause irritation, itching, and even full-blown allergic reactions. Then you end up dealing with constant scratching, hot spots, and skin issues. ( mind you I have a dog 🐶 flea pill was my go to first it was she has allergies, so here is a $200 shot plus ear infection $50.00 plus here is some soap another $20 this was all caused by the FLEA PILL once i stopped NEVER HAD PROBLEMS)

And let’s be real, those pills are pushed hard, and once your dog starts reacting, it can turn into a cycle where now you’re being offered allergy shots and more treatments on top of it. It adds up fast.

Every pet is different, but prevention is always easier than treating a problem after it starts. Just wanted to share what’s been working for us 🐾
