🍂 October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. C**t is hoping it becomes his “I found my family” month. 🖤

This little guy may look perfectly content soaking up the sunshine, but there’s one thing that would make his days even brighter: a forever family.

Meet C**t! At just 13 weeks old and 20 pounds, C**t is a sweet black Lab puppy ready to find his people and discover all the fun that comes with being part of a family. 🐾

C**t’s idea of a great day? Some outdoor playtime, a few tennis-ball chases, and a squeaky toy that really commits to the squeak. Afterward, he’s happy to settle in for cuddles with his people 🧡

He’s also a smart little student! He learned “sit” in just one day! He enjoys following other dogs on walks and checking out their favorite sniff spots. Leash skills and potty training are still a work in progress, but he’s an eager learner who wants to make his humans proud.

🍁Adopt a Shelter Dog Month shines a light on dogs waiting for a place to belong, and C**t is one of them. Behind every adoption is the start of a new life together, and we’re hoping this October brings C**t a family to learn with, grow with, and love for years to come

🍎 Who said an orchard trip is all about the apples? I’ll take the corn, please! 🌽

Hi, I’m Samson! I spent this past weekend exploring an orchard, taking in the fall sights and smells, and making time for a little photo shoot.

At 9 months old and 45 pounds, I’m discovering how much fun new adventures can be, especially with people who help me feel safe and loved. Now I hope my next adventure is finding my forever family! 🖤

When I first met my foster family, I was a timid boy. But after a few weeks of patience and encouragement, my personality is starting to shine!

Here’s a little about me:
🐾 Balls and squeaky toys are favorites… although I occasionally mistake a shoe for a toy. Puppy priorities!
🐾 I love my doggy friends, but I don’t necessarily need a sibling in my forever home.
🐾 My foster sisters have helped me learn that leashes aren’t so scary and fetching toys is pretty fun.
🐾 I’m still getting comfortable in my crate and sometimes cry, so I’ll need patience as I keep learning.

I’ve already come a long way with a little love. Now I’m looking for a family to help me keep growing into the confident boy I’m becoming. Could you be my people?

🖤Happy Tails: Cleo🖤

Those watchful eyes and perky ears belong to a girl who just turned a year old - and is feeling more at home all the time with her adopter Benjamin Cole.

"Cleo has been on all kinds of adventures," Benjamin tells us. "Loves other dogs. Been to pet blessing at church. All kinds of parks and swimming adventures! Showing more and more personality each day! She is growing up fast!"

There's nothing like a great match and a happy ending for our LOLIN pups. Here's to many more adventures for Cleo and Benjamin!☺

Hi, I’m Charlie! I’m trying the handshake approach because apparently jumping into your arms is ‘too much'.😉

In his defense, that’s 60 pounds of enthusiasm and only one year of practice playing it cool. This handsome tan Lab is still polishing his introductions, but once you’re acquainted, he’s happy to pass out beside you 🤣

Some things to know about Charley:
• He’s practicing polite greetings and learning that countertops aren’t self-serve
• He loves car rides, handles baths well, and sleeps soundly in his room
• He’s done well with the cats in his foster home
• He’d likely prefer being the only dog. He gets along with his foster brother, but unfamiliar dogs—especially larger ones—are challenging. Any canine introductions would need to be very slow.

💛 He’s learning how to be your best boy, and he’d love someone who’s willing to learn alongside him!

201 days.

That’s how long Sister has been waiting for her forever family. 💛

At 10 years old, this 50-pound yellow Lab has a pretty good idea of what makes a good day. A little time outside. A ball to carry proudly around. A car ride with a view. And someone to curl up beside when the day is done.

Sister wants to be included in your ordinary, everyday life. She’ll keep you company while you garden, follow you from room to room, and happily rest her head in your lap while you watch one more episode. To her, those little moments are the whole point. 🐾

But the thing we most want you to know about Sister? There’s a whole personality behind that number. A girl with favorite things, funny little habits, and so much affection to share.

For 201 days, she’s been waiting for a place in someone’s life. We can’t wait for someone to discover how much she could add to theirs.

🖤Happy Tails: Jax🖤

Sometimes, the Happy Tails we tell have a few twists and turns. That's certainly been the case for Jax.

Jax came to LOLIN five years ago. He was fostered by one of our best, Jean Mynderse. Jax was soon adopted by an older couple, who worked through some initial tensions between Jax and their cat (the two ended up coexisting very peacefully). Life, for several years, was very good.

Sadly, we recently learned that a cancer diagnosis and other health issues for Bill and Lynn, the couple who adopted Jax, meant that they could no longer care for him. They contacted us, and Jean took Jax back into foster care.

Happily, after just a few weeks, Jax was adopted by Taylor and Kristen. There will be a wedding in the fall and they hope to have children soon. Jax has hit the jackpot again with his new family. Those three smiles say it all.💕

The moral of this story? We think it's that when there are enough caring souls in a dog's life, the chances of a happy ending can be very good. And that's why we're here.☺

Thank you to Bill, Lynn, Taylor, Kristen, and Jean for all you've done for Jax.
