🖤Happy Tails: Jake🖤

Full disclosure: My name is Mary Lang, and I'm the social media coordinator for LOLIN. It just so happens that this morning's Happy Tail is brought to you by my dog, Jake.

Jake (who was named Drake when we adopted him a year ago) is simply a wonderful, perenially happy boy. What makes him happiest? Three things: playing fetch, counter surfing, and being with his people. He had some separation anxiety when we first brought him home, but we worked with a great trainer named Allie Kirby to help him overcome that. His new canine brother, Bodhi, came along in February, and that has helped Jake feel more secure when we're gone as well.

We're grateful to LOLIN for bringing Jake into our rescue; grateful to the White family for doing a beautiful job of fostering him; and grateful to Jake for being such a good, good boy.💓

🖤Meet Henry!🖤

Our handsome Henry is a three-year-old, 68-pound black Lab mix and an absolute bundle of goofy, enthusiastic love! 💙

🎾 Fetch is his favorite thing—especially tennis balls (he may even carry two at once!). He’s also a super chewer, so sturdy toys and a secure recycling bin are a must. 😂

🚗 Henry loves car rides, 🐕 enjoys playing with other dogs after a slow introduction, and 🧠 is food-motivated, smart, crate-trained, and knows sit, down, and shake.

He’d thrive with an active family ready to provide plenty of exercise, playtime, mental stimulation, cuddles, and a little training. Older kids would be a better match than tiny humans, since this lovable guy can be pretty jumpy and enthusiastic!

🎉Happy Birthday, Bella!🎉

We have to offer an apology: Bella's birthday was actually in May, but we let it slip through the cracks. However, it's never too late to celebrate one of our beautiful LOLIN alums, who turned 11 this year!

Thank you to adopter Dawn Waltz for sharing these photos of her sweet Bella. Cheers to the beauty, happiness and love our senior dogs bring us every day.🖤🐾

🖤Meet Boulder!🖤

Boulder is a 55-pound black Lab with a HUGE heart and an even bigger love for toys! 🧸 Tug-of-war is his favorite, especially when he’s playing with his foster sister, Molly. He also loves zooming around a fenced yard, going for walks, riding in the car (and even golf carts!), and being part of family life.🏠

Boulder is smart, affectionate, and making great progress with leash manners and confidence. He does well with other dogs and would love a canine companion, with thoughtful introductions. He’s also unfazed by storms, fireworks, lawn mowers, and vacuums!

This energetic young Lab is looking for an experienced, patient family who can continue helping him build confidence and polish his manners. A fenced yard and a home without small children would be ideal.

🖤Happy Tails: Gus🖤

Do not let this serious look fool you. This boy is as silly as they come.

Just ask Amanda Piekarski, who adopted Gus from LOLIN a year ago.

"Life with Gus over the past year has been equal parts chaos, laughter, and wondering how one dog can possibly have this much personality," says Amanda. "He has completely made himself the center of our little family—and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

"He’s goofy, stubborn, ridiculously lovable, and firmly believes that everything we do should somehow involve him. Whether he’s following us from room to room, demanding attention, or causing trouble and then looking completely innocent, there is never a dull moment.

"Our favorite part of the last year has simply been watching Gus become our dog—learning our routines, finding his place in our family, and somehow making home feel even more like home. One year in, it’s hard to remember what life was like without our big black goofball."

🖤Say hello to Delilah!🖤

This gorgeous two-year-old, 80-pound girl is housebroken, well-mannered, affectionate, and loves car rides. She’s a total toy fanatic who adores squeaky toys, fetch, and chew bones—and she absolutely loves playing with other dogs! 🐾

Delilah would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion and a fenced yard where she can run and wrestle. She’s affectionate without being clingy and is making great progress with training and confidence.

Delilah recently tested positive for heartworm and will begin treatment soon. LOLIN is making sure she gets the care she needs so she can recover and go on to enjoy a long, happy life.

Sometimes - lots of times, actually - the fit is just right. Just ask adopter Amy Cooper Cline what life with Luna is like one year after her adoption through LOLIN.

"Luna has been exactly what we needed," Amy says. "From her energy (can’t believe she is nine), to her wacky upside down sleeping positions, she has our hearts."
