🦟 YES — HEARTWORMS ARE STILL HERE. 🫀🐶

These videos were taken in our clinic TODAY from a heartworm-positive patient. What you’re seeing moving under the microscope are microfilariae — baby heartworms circulating in the bloodstream. 😳

We still hear that heartworms “aren’t really a problem anymore” or that prevention can be stopped during the winter. Unfortunately, that isn’t true. With changing weather and warmer winter days, year-round prevention is important.
