Just got back from a walk. Same distance as usual, but different location. SO many new smells. They are exhausted. If your dog isn't getting tired after your walk, you may not have let them smell enough.

This is why it is so important to learn how dogs communicate. For help in learning how your dog it trying to communicate with you, I highly recommend the book "On Talking Terms With Dogs: Calming Signals" by Turid Rugaas. It's a short book with many pictures. Many dog bites can be avoided with proper education.

Yesterday was stormy and rainy with a long tornado watch throughout the day. Around mid-afternoon, I asked Cyrus what he wanted to do and he ran off to bring me one of my walking shoes. 😁

We did not go for a walk. Poor buddy. He was so hopeful.
