❤️ A Day in Draco’s Life ❤️

Draco’s a sweet boy who loves having a routine. His days are filled with potty breaks, meals, plenty of backyard time, and lots of opportunities to run and play. His favorite toy is his duck, and he also loves his Nylabones.

After a good run around the backyard, he’s usually worn out and ready for his favorite part of the day — snuggling with his person or his foster sissy. 🥰

At bedtime, he gets a frozen pumpkin or peanut-butter Kong before settling into his crate for the night. He’s comfortable with his crate and does well with the structured routine in his foster’s home.

He may be an active boy who loves to play, but at the end of the day, he’s just a big snuggle bug looking for someone to love (and maybe someone who likes Starbucks so that he can keep getting his pup cups 😉). 🐾❤️

Once upon a time, in a land of squeaky balls and soft blankets, there lived a noble low-rider named Ellie. With the stature of a house hippo and the heart of a seasoned couch commander, she rules her domain with sass, snuggles, and a strict no-stranger policy.

At seven years old and 75 pounds of pure personality, Ellie has mastered the art of lounging. Her days are spent on the royal cushions, galloping like a bunny when the sacred kibble arrives, and engaging in solo jousts with her beloved ball. She is known throughout the realm for her dramatic food dances.

But Ellie is no fan of visitors in her kingdom. Should a stranger breach the castle gates, she must be secured in her crate tower as one never knows if a visitor might actually be a horrific dragon in disguise. Her ideal kingdom is quiet, predictable, and ruled by one or two wise humans, and if they have a few older squires who understand the ways of cautious ladies that would be fine too. She prefers her people close, her cats far away, and her canine companions carefully vetted through diplomatic sniffing.

Though she’s set in her ways, Ellie is loyal to her chosen few. She walks well on a leash, naps like a pro, and will happily binge-watch your favorite series while offering commentary in the form of gentle snores. She’s crate-trained, house-trained, and emotionally trained to know that food is life, balls are joy, and strangers are suspicious.

If you seek a steadfast companion with a royal sense of humor, a deep love of snacks, and a heart that blooms slowly but beautifully—Ellie awaits your summons.

Bugsy is five years old and shares her name, and her ears, with “Bugsy Maroon”, a giant white rabbit from an 80’s era computer game. He wanted to be Public Enemy No. 1. She just wants to be someone's No. 1 cuddle buddy. After a life of being used for breeding, all Bugsy wants now is love, affection, and attention. If you're not giving her attention, she'll swipe whatever you're using and dash off just to make sure you follow her.

She was mouthy at first—excited, wild, lacking proper manners. But she has learned sit, shake, lay down, and comes when called. She walks beautifully on a leash and is crate-trained.

She adores kids of all ages, though she can get a bit too excited around them sometimes, but is learning. But her true superpower is making you smile and laugh until your face aches—in the best way possible.

Wellington is patiently waiting for his forever family. Please help us honor his late mom by finding him a loving and dedicated home

After being rescued from a local shelter, Wellington was adopted by his foster family. Following the heartbreaking loss of his mom, he returned to the rescue and was adopted again. When another dog joined the home, it became clear that Wellington would be happiest as the only pet. While he doesn't mind other dogs, he prefers not to share his home with them.

Wellington loves his people and wants nothing more than to be by your side. Whether you're relaxing at home, spending time outside, or going for a walk, he's happiest with his family. He also enjoys lounging in a kiddie pool, playing with his toys, and soaking up the sunshine.

He's neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, crate trained, and potty trained. Wellington can be strong on the leash but is eager to learn and loves to please. Because he sometimes forgets how big he is, we'd recommend a home without small children.

If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will be your best friend, Wellington is ready to meet you!

Only a few more days - and the weather is looking PERFECT!!

Register your Jeep below to participate in a fun filled day gearing up for Halloween, a duck scavenger hunt, games, and prizes. The event starts on the northeast side of Indianapolis and travels to the southeast side of Indianapolis. Every entry supports rescue, rehabilitation, and responsible adoption for dogs who are too often overlooked.

When Draco’s 7-year-old foster sister sings to him, he curls up in her lap and looks up at her like she’s the only person in the world… 🥹🩷

That probably tells you more about Draco than any adoption bio could.

He’s ~4 years old, neutered, up to date on shots, and loves to RUN and play. 🏃🏻‍♀️ He is also gentle with his 7-year-old foster sister. He follows her around, has never jumped on her or taken her toys, and clearly considers himself one of her biggest fans.

When his foster is working, Draco is crate trained, and in the home, he’s been non-destructive. He’s also very smart and is working on his recall, which is particularly helpful when those tempting squirrels enter the yard or other dogs appear outside. And when it’s time to wind down? He’s perfectly content with a frozen Kong treat.

This is Draco. And this is just the beginning of getting to know him.
