If you saw us at the most recent Midwest Reptile Show, you may have noticed a feathered friend on our table. My rescued feral pigeon, Glep, found a loving pet home, and that made my beloved Classic Old Frill (COF) pair feel safe enough to welcome their own pidgelet into the world!

This baby will likely be looking for a home in 3-6 months. If you would like to be considered for a potential home, please message! He will be a wonderful bird, his father, Pim, is a gem and mother Bubbles is absolutely beautiful.

Until then, we’re proud to introduce the newest member to the Autumn Leaves Exotics family!! 🧡🕊️

P.S- We are absolutely taking name suggestions!

Thought I would post a small update, since I’ve had a influx of messages lately!

So, here’s what you need to know.

🐁 ALL rodent operations have been stopped for the time being. Pet and feeder.

My rodent-lovers, be assured, this isn’t over! Mice will always hold spot in my heart and business and I look forward to producing many more in my future. Just not a hobby I can dedicate myself to at this time.

To my feeder customers, I do apologize for the sudden stop in supply and I am happy to direct you to other resources locally.

🪲… theres not an isopod emoji ok?
Ive drastically cut down the kinds of bugs I have available, and plan to only produce a select favorite few isopods. Those will be announced at a later date.

🐍 Snakes available have been few and far between, and will continue to be that way. (I love updates from customers who have purchased animals from me, btw!) I kept a few essential pieces of my collection and look forward to producing at least a few more ball python clutches down the line. All pairing has been stopped at this time, but I will continue to monitor my females for reproductive progress to the best of my ability.

🐣
Some of you know I had recently expanded operations to include a small flock of beautiful button quail of various colors. These birds are safe, still in my care, and eggs (for hatching or feeding off) will continue to be available at The Midwest Reptile Show. I have also began working to decipher their interesting genetics, and I’ve taken quite an interest in selective breeding. I look forward to adding a couple more varieties to my collection and producing even more beautiful birds in the future.

Seeing as I have relocated to the east side of Indianapolis, I’m hopeful many of you will benefit from my connections on the west! Please message if youre looking for something you typically sourced from me, I will do my best to point you in the right direction.

Thank you ALL for your business, for your concern, your advices and support. I had no idea my little community was so caring. 🥹

I hope to see you March 1st! 🧡

TL;DR -
Autumn Leaves Exotics is once again on extended hiatus. Operations had to be cut quickly, due to abrupt relocation. I’m thankful to be out of that situation and setting in somewhere new. I appreciate everyone who reached out with concern, thank you for your continued support! 🧡

(btw - not written by AI, i promise!)

Due to unforseen circumstances, I will be taking offers on my entire ball python collection. This includes my NR Mandarin Sugar het Hypo (poss Super NR Mandarin) male and many other pieces for a solid Hypo/Clown project. I was looking forward to 2026-2027 baby season, but it seems my loss could be someone’s gain!

Comment or PM me for details, I am working on getting a list together. I will likely not be selling individual animals at this time, prioritizing the group.

Limited supply! PS- Our rooster has been hard at work, if anyone were to be interested in incubating. 🤭

Were USA based but I found this post really interesting and informative!

Ok reality check time.

Here is a screen grab from a friend's shop in the USA. Let's just take a minute to be thankful we pay the prices we pay in the UK

How would mine or any other shops customers in the UK like to pay £1.99 (or £1.66 or whatever the conversion is) for a single pinkie mouse? How about £3.00 equivalent for an adult mouse, per mouse?

You know those tubs of crickets at standard or adult size with 50-60 in per tub at £2.50-£3.00 in UK, how about £1.99 per dozen.

As much as legend has it that the USA is cheap and plentiful, I can't tell you it is waaaay different over the pond.

Those of you with large collections consider your frozen bill at these prices. Or alternatively your livefoods prices, including the fact they don't have locusts either because they are considered invasive.

This isn't to shame the US. Their prices are their prices. But they face the same economic hardships of every country right now. It's a sh*tshow everywhere, it doesn't matter your country.

As much as we moan, and gripe and whine, it could be worse. So much fu***ng worse. Be thankful we have the suppliers and the infrastructure to support what really are fantastic prices for products that really are expensive. Have you ever considered what it costs to raise a mouse to being an adult? Just in food and substrates alone? Nevermind man power.

The UK is the halcyon of herpetoculture, our main supplies are vastly deflated comparatively. We ought to be thankful.

Do the calculations of your weekly expenditure on US prices compared to what you pay and consider if it is even possible to continue keeping what you keep!!!
