Happy weekend, neighbors. And what a great long weekend it’s been already! We’ve definitely experienced an uptick of calls and such lately, so we apologize for the delays. We just have to say, some pretty dapper puppies came in, like this fella Jack! He LOVED hanging out with two fun loving Pomskies to distract him from the real work! He put in the time and it clearly shows, he was able to ride home with Grandpa in the coolest Jeep ever, Mom looooved being able to see his handsome face again. My dear, dear friend Peke came in as well to get a freshen up. His mom has been one of the pack for years, so we were sooooo excited to show her the new place. We love you Sue! Not to be outdone, Lucy made her dad BEAM! She was perfect for every facet of the groom, and as you see Lucy is shinin’ in the sun! It was an honor working with her. To close out a great Friday, MaoMao got to rumble with her new neighbor friend, Beckett! B got a great de-shed and nails filed down as we got to know his dad a little more! Nice having so many people in the neighborhood come in! Today, another great puppers, DAN DAN THE MAN MAN! He also got the Pomsky treatment, but something a little extra. Embarrassingly enough, Dan’s parents came in while his barber was serenading him to a nice lull. Looks like it worked though, so incredibly handsome! And that’s right, these girls. SO PROUD OF THESE GIRLS! Maggie and Prim came in for their private session for the second time and WOW! A tremendous growth session, Primrose ended up out shining her sister, Magnolia. We were all happy that they no longer need to be fully sedated, but to already see that they go with the flow now is just … amazing. And to close out the evening, Rob came in with his wonderful pups for a quick bath and nail sesh …. They were out in 40 minutes because Delilah and Jackie were just that good! So proud of everyone this weekend, goes to show you what a little patience and a lot of love can do! Have a great one, Garfield Barkers!

Hey hey heeeey! With the buzz about, we’ve been busy as a bee🐝. So let’s catch all you neighbors up to speed! Yesterday, Rose stopped by for what probably is her last true puppy cut, but that’s not the fun stuff… she had her first crush and me oh my she has quite the taste! She is not a shy one and she let Danny the Pond Boy know! Rose isn’t the only one that enjoyed Danny’s presence, Walter swung by his friend’s shop and get a fade for these super hot days we’ve been having. That’s why our neighbor pal, Otis, came in to be deshedded so he can loosen up. He thoroughly enjoyed his poultry flavored enzymatic toothpaste! Our friend Louis finished the day with a quick scrub and mainly for some nail maintenance! Not pictured was Ethel from the GSD Indy group and her nails getting done, what a trooper! Our dear friend, Fred is getting his crisp fade in before his mom heads out to Utah to gain a new PR! He definitely enjoyed bossing around the two goofballs today. Meanwhile, Teddy and Danny yucked it up with each other all morning until the Tedmeister actually had to put in some work. Not pictured is Saint from the GSD Indy group again, beautiful long black hair that we didn’t want to shave. Required quite a bit blowing out before and after the bath… but boy he was shinin’! Several nail trims came in and they were able to take in the vibes of the shop and once again … that old tv and video selection! Just like Fred’s mother said, feels like someone’s basement! Welcome neighbors to another Two-fur Tuesday! We started today off with a super special guest, The Fur Foundry’s first cat - Berglund 🏒 This gentleman was easy to please as he was just skatin’ around the whole place like it was his house! Super sweet boy and a job well done! Lorelei didn’t want to be outdone as she came in for the cat intermission. LoLo got the full blow out and honey, it shows… it had everyone thinking that Shakira is her Spirit Human! Ow ow! Not pictured, but he also did a GREAT job as introverted as he was - Crow 🐦‍⬛ the long haired black cat was fully dematted in no time and got to home rather quickly! As you see, our charter Garfield Barkers: Maggie and Max came in for a quick tune up on Monday and to catch up with old friends and the new fella. Meanwhile, our literal neighbor brought in his friend Little One! He came to get his bald fade and relax with his family. It’s nice knowing that even with all the dog vibes around, the cool cats were able to get comfortable enough to get the job done! Excited for the future!

Howdy neighbors! As we promised you, the super fun weekend we had! After working with Wilhelm (Aka Willie) a while back, The Fur Foundry was invited to setup a tent (which they provided for us and a table … and chair, THANKS AGAIN 😊). We can’t thank Amber and the entire team of GSD Rescue Indy for the fun time that was had! We got to take in multiple categories for the fashion show! Quite a few made a 🐝-line for me, going right under the table hahaha 😂! We even saw our neighbors there … and Grimm was dubbed a champion! Congrats buddy!! We were able to teach a few youths the differences of nail clipping and filing; and why some dogs prefer one over the other. They were incredibly receptive, which is incredibly refreshing! Super nice people and doggos all around - so many got a tie or bow tie! Hope to be affiliated with these people in the future, thanks again for having us! The weekend was in full force, as the team was setting up on Sunday for our fantasy football draft… a poor lost soul was wandering, needing help. Had a dog in hand in a matted state with gnarly big burrs on the under carriage and dog pits. Sarah Elizabeth came to the rescue and we were able to help the poor boy out. Come to find out, the Good Samaritan was helping the rough shaped fella out of the street! Fortunate enough for us, he was just like the Pond Champion and was fantastic for his new look. Our neighbor stayed with us to help the poor guy out as this was all different for him. Glad to see him in good shape and smiling at all of us as he was due for some nice R&R. This is why we do it folks, helping those that really need the help and it’s just so nice to be able to do so right in our own ‘hood. Can’t thank y’all enough for the ongoing support!

Good day, neighbors! It was another fun, furry and flourishing weekend here at The Fur Foundry. We worked with some of our Garfield Barkers on Friday and Saturday. We made sure everyone came in and got some quality time with their barber and able to walk out feeling fresh! Finley has been waiting patiently for his day to come to get his nice and low cut to make him more aerodynamic to be able to catch up to the speed of our guest in the shop! He loved being able to have a view to keep him entertained while he was getting his ears lowered. His pal for the day, Miss Phoebe took it alllllll in with a nice massaging scrub down and was at peace with getting all that undercoat out! She loved laying on the rug and getting ear scritches … so much she had to reach out with her paw to ‘keep going, please.’ Her barber definitely was accommodating. Talking about all her … Friends. Sparkles greeted everyone warmly, but retired to the master’s chambers after his scrub down. He loved being able to rest at his discretion and we are more than ok with that, too! His summer cut made him comfortable! Back to school you say?! Apollo is all about that! His parents are moving in to the neighborhood from New York and they wanted their boy to get a scrub down and since Apollo was such a gentleman and short hair, we were able to get to know him AND his parents. They were great people and cannot wait until they’re our true neighbors! And last, but definitely NOT least. River Song. This gal tugs at the heart strings because her dog barber actually has a pretty girl named after the famed wife of The Doctor, as well. River was such a wonderful pup and made my job super easy to make her look gorgeous. This River Song could easily win a neighborhood dog show, and we would be her biggest supporters! Good evening, neighbors! Whew. These last few days were a blur, but now it's time to highlight Wednesday and Thursday's pooches! Legend, is in fact a legend. He had his best groom to date and that's post surgery (dog attack). Guy is an absolute stud and tank, but took it all in stride, making his mother beam. Rrrrrrrrepeat visit with Summer and we have her a little fluffier top and made her smell soooooooo good that her mom had to tell us about it the next day. Meanwhile, my nephew, Remi, came in to get his ears lowered. His mom stood by all the dogs while she chatted it up with Remi's barber, it's always nice to catch up and not be rushed out of a 'spa'. Meanwhile, Remy (say whaaaaaaat), with a Y, visited his old barber's new place! Remy is a dear old friend of ours that used to come in with his older, but smaller brother Kenyan. It was so nice to hang out with and give him a tight cut again, it was loooooong overdue! And Mango? Well, what else can we say, she was the perfect A! Did amazingly well for every freakin' facet of the groom. De-fluffed, nails did and chompers brushed - your girl Mango came out looking sweeter than ever. Forgive me, Garfield Barkers, we promise to be atop of our game with social media! Looking forward to tomorrow, you'll see Friday and Saturday fun! We're off to the GSD Indy Rescue 15th Anni event! Sleep well!

Goooood evening, neighbors and happy Two-Fur Tuesday! Over the last few days we've had some new faces, new window art and fun behind the scenes stuff that we can't wait to share! But now, our feature presentation. Danni is moving in to a new place, so she needed to get rid of that farm funky hair. We tamed that beast with the finest equipment to give her that blowout that breaks necks! Danners is now ready to snuggle up now that her mom is here to stay. Danni was hot to trot for a boy ... that was a quarter of his size, Rip (last slide) was an incredibly handsome boy and his table presence was amazing. He really commanded the room, it's nice having such a great neighbor like him! Pepper wanted to see how nice it looked outside, so she got a really clean fade so now that her pretty face can shine just like her mother's smile! While their dad was volunteering, Abby and Zeva got to hang out with the resident pups, MaoMao and Pizza 🍕. Some nice tight late summer cuts with clean lines for their incredibly nice father. We had a few sleepovers for the weekend and have known Rory the Dog Barber ever since they were tiny pups. Pops and Mackey got touched up after having a weekend Royal Rumble! Can't wait to see y'all tomorrow, Garfield Barkers! Sleep well!

Good Monday morning, neighbors! Well, it's situations like this where we're very thankful that we get to live 3 minutes away. It was after 10pm when we caught wind that a loose husky needed an emergency foster or groom so they could come into the parents' house. Come to find out, he took a plunge after a long stroll, as huskies love to do. It was very reminiscent of the time when I was a young and had a red husky that decided to go for a swim in Morse Reservoir... he was so water logged that even my young wrestler self could barely lift him. We currently have two huskies and two Pomskies, so it was a no brainer! This fella was covered in burrs and a deep, deep undercoat PELT. No shaving here, he was so agreeable for everything it was impressive! I mean, he's an intact male! He acted like a professional, when realistically he was probably so very thankful to be free from all that junk. We said good morning to him and the wonderful good Samaritans at 12:30am or so. When we started, we set out to help out the community in the ways we can so when this opportunity came up, we knew we were going to jump in! And what a treat, it was a delight working with this handsome fella. Hopefully your week can be as great as his visit was!

Goooood evening, woo! Apologies to our neighbors and beyond it's been a very busy, productive last handful of days (as you'll see in the morning from my perspective and mega shout out to Ceremony Tattoo John 𖤐 DeWeese Jordan Studebaker ). Winston came with his awesome mom to relax, hang out with some new friends and get settled in for a nice easy going haircut! This handsome man was glad to stretch his feet out with some like minded pooches. Millie Purl was back for another round and got settled in with our boy Pizza! Our little cute neighbor is living her best life with a fresh cut on a beautiful day. She was an absolute doll and did wondefully for her fade! Meanwhile, Vivi and her mom got to hang while getting a nice blowout and some nail care. She never had an experience and loved being herself and helped herself to some toys! You remember Volt?! His brilliant brother, Dallas, came in after his initial visit and settled right in. He even helped us finding where the treats were behind the bar! Fresh shave and left some hair on the ears for some character. Cookie found a new dad and wanted to look good for her new life. Dad GLOWED when he saw Cookie's new 'do. She was was amazing just like her dad! Our neighbor, Molly, was a little anxious, but that's what can happen in a new place... but MaoMao didn't want to her to feel discouraged, so she jumped up into action and quite literally stood behind her. Pudge, I mean, c'mon! She was awesome just like her parents and gave some major hugs! And to round it off, just like their nails, Smokey did a fly by nail care to show foster sister Sadie the ropes. They were absolutely champs for the filing especially with mom's energy and support, so proud! It's going to be a great week y'all and we're looking forward to it!!

Had the day off from the shop yesterday due to some street view improvements, but had the wonderful opportunity to speak with Bree from Comfort Zone Sitters and we definitely got lost in our long chats about our love for the dogs and people in our neighboring industries.
