This beautiful Mini Aussie is Sophie. Sophie and her sister, Shelby, have been coming to me for three and a half years now. They had been to multiple other salons, and poor Sophie would have a small seizure as soon as she got inside the salon.

This was no fault of any of the groomers. The average salon has several employees, which means multiple dogs and a lot of noise. Most dogs do just fine in that setting. Some, like Sophie, don’t.

In my years of grooming, I’ve come to learn that Mini Aussies can be very nervous and cautious in certain situations. Sophie had those seizures for about the first year she came here. Once the seizures stopped, she still had to be carried inside. I would have to herd her into a corner so I could pick her up.

Now she walks right in! She even comes up to me for pets! 🥹

She’s still a little nervous, and I don’t expect that to ever completely go away. But it’s such a relief to know that she no longer has seizures when she comes to the salon! 💗🐶
