... Could she BE any cuter?! 😍

Zara is a sweet, gentle 5 year old mini bully weighing around 35 lbs who has overcome more than any dog should have to. She was found as a stray on someone’s porch in the blazing summer heat, starving, thirsty, and exhausted. After being shooed away, Zara returned desperately needing help, but animal control was called instead.

Despite the neglect she had endured, shelter staff described her as the sweetest girl. Maggie Lu’s Safe Haven Rescue saved Zara just before she was scheduled to be euthanized.

Since then, this little trooper has undergone eye surgery and surgery to remove a mast cell tumor—and through it all, she has remained incredibly gentle, affectionate, and trusting. ❤️

Zara is dog friendly, wonderful with people of all ages – including babies, crate and potty trained, spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccines. She loves snuggling on the couch, lounging in the sunshine, and simply being near her people.

Zara is still building her confidence and needs a patient, loving family to show her that she is finally safe. After everything Zara has survived, it’s time for her final chapter: forever home. 🏡❤️

🐾❤️ BUDDY NEEDS A LITTLE HELP FROM HIS FRIENDS! ❤️🐾

We’re hoping some wonderful people will open their hearts and homes to Buddy for a few short stays so we can keep him out of the boarding kennel! 🏡💕

📅 TEMP FOSTER DATES:

🐾 October 29 – November 2

🐾 November 19 – November 30

🐾 December 23 – January 4

❤️ CAN YOU HELP WITH JUST ONE OF THESE DATES? You don’t have to cover them all! Every stay we can fill means more time Buddy gets to spend in a loving home instead of a kennel.

🏡 HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT FOSTERING?

This is such a wonderful way to give it a try! Temporary fostering lets you experience the joy of helping a rescue dog without a long-term commitment. Just a few days of your time can make a HUGE difference in Buddy’s life. 🥹

Buddy is a sweet, goofy, loving boy who has made incredible progress in foster care. We’d love nothing more than to keep that momentum going and surround him with the love and stability he deserves. ❤️

📍 Charlotte, NC & surrounding areas

📩 PLEASE SEND US A DM if you can help with any of these dates. We’d love to chat and answer your questions!

And if fostering isn’t possible right now, please SHARE! You never know who might be waiting for a little nudge to get involved. 💕
