Many of you remember Kibbles (who could forget Professor Kibbles?!!), and we are THRILLED to announce that he is now the happy big brother to Scooby!!!! These two guys hit it off right from the get-go, as if they’ve always known they were brothers from other mothers. We are ecstatic that they are both together with such amazing parents!!!!!!!!

Used to be when Lisa was alive we had a ton of volunteers. We had cookouts on Saturdays, washing the dogs events (We always had one couple get pregnant shortly after those, there are SEVERAL of you!!!!). Nowadays we don't have many. Sundays at PetSmart was a time to see our people and we had volunteers who would walk dogs and talk to people about who we had there in the trailer. We will be there tomorrow. Stop by and see us to walk a dog or two, if you know someone looking for a new best friend send them to see us!!!! -JD-

That precious moment when your sweet furbaby is all up in your face, looking at you lovingly with her pretty brown eyes, and then proceeds to burrrrpppp like Homer Simspon directly into your nose, never breaking eye contact. You look at her and say Wow, thanks 😑. She smiles. Then sneezes right into your eyeballs.

Loretta Lynn might be the coal miner’s daughter, but Bandit is definitely the coal miner’s son. He found a critter hole near a far fence in our play yard and was deeeeeterrrrminnned to get to China through it!! It was somewhat impressive the commitment he showed to the task. At one point he’d dug so far into the tunnel that he was buried to his hips, with his back legs sticking out into the air. So there I am, grabbing him by the hips and trying to pull him out, like I was trying to deliver a breech baby from the center of the earth. That didn’t work so I got two leashes and had to dig down next to him to get the leash on, thinking I’d have to do a one-woman team roping event on his determined self! Thankfully he fiiiiinally allowed me to peel him away from his fun and put him back in his kennel. Then I collapsed, as dirty as he was. Whew. GOOD THING HE’S SO SWEET!!!!

We are SUPER grateful for all of the support we received recently for helping to rebuild kennel roofs! Today we have another big ask for our kennels: Pavers! Concrete! Help!

Currently we have a mix of nicely paved kennels, kennels with concrete pavers, some kennels with a mix of pavers and dirt, and a couple kennels left that are only dirt floors. We want ALL of our pups to be out of the dirt and on nice kennel floors! It keeps the dogs cleaner, it’s easier to sanitize, it prevents them digging to China in their downtime, and it prevents muddy messes during storms. Can you help??

We would LOVE donations of 12x12” pavers, or if you are experienced and handy with pouring concrete, come on out!!!!

The two dirt kennels are 10x10’, so they need 100 square pavers each. Plus a 10x20’ kennel is less than half paved, so we would like to finish that one, and fill some gaps in other kennels. Our goal is to get 350 12x12” pavers. We desperately need and would appreciate your help!!!

As we posted before, we welcome donations of supplies, gift cards, and cash. JD gets the military discount from Lowe’s so gift cards could go farther than supplies if you do not receive a discount.
