K-9 Kai, a 20-month-old Belgian Malinois, joined the Wichita County Sheriff's Office in July as the replacement for our retiring K-9, Dino.
Kai was generously donated by K-9 Life of Michigan, and her training is being donated by Southern State K-9 of Mississippi. Once training is complete, she will be certified as a dual-purpose K-9 in apprehension, narcotics detection, tracking, and article searches.
Because both Kai and her training were donated, there is no cost to Wichita County taxpayers.
