They were born to be retrievers!
Golden Retrievers were bred to retrieve game for hunters. That's why many Goldens LOVE carrying toys, shoes, and practically anything they can fit in their mouths!

2. They have a long puppy phase!
Goldens often keep their goofy, playful puppy personalities well into adulthood. Get ready for years of silly antics!

3. They love having a job!
Fetching balls, carrying toys, learning tricks, and finding hidden treats help keep their clever brains busy.

4. They're famous for being friendly!
Golden Retrievers are generally social, affectionate dogs who enjoy spending time with their families. Early socialization helps puppies grow into confident adults.

5. Puppies need LOTS of sleep!
Young puppies may sleep around 18–20 hours a day. Don't worry if your new little fluffball plays hard and then suddenly crashes!

6. That golden coat needs brushing!
Goldens have a double coat that sheds. Regular brushing helps remove loose fur and prevent tangles, especially around their feathered tail, legs, and ears.

7. The famous head tilt!
That adorable head tilt may help a dog focus on a sound or understand what you're saying. We may never know exactly what they're thinking—but it's hard not to melt!
