We know this mare line very well. I owned and trained Willow, her dam Isabella and her dam Antsje. All the foals and adults out of this line are highly trainable and very loving. Antsje and her daughter Isabella were both trained to ride bridle less. They were very healthy and to my knowledge only Antsje has passed away at age 22. All her 12 descendants are doing well.

Someone was feeling a bit dramatic today. 🐴 👑 It was a weekend of Friesians, Friesian Crosses, editing, and orders here at Ride the Sky. What did you guys get up to this weekend?

Pictures: Antsje Fan'e Welle, 21-year-old Friesian mare. This sweet girl was born in Holland. She is a sweetheart who loves to be pampered and groomed and has two speeds - slow and stop - which cracks me up to no end. 🤣

But what about that horse who was with you before you had kids, before you met your spouse, or before you moved from an apartment to a house? Cherish your horse. She has seen you through the good days and the bad. Through the fights with your best friend, through the stress of raising teenagers or being a teen, through the unbearable losses, and the amazing highs. Love your horse to the best of your ability every day of your life. Because one day you will head to the barn and you will realize that she's been there all along. At your side. Loving you for all the days of her life.
