When treating certain equine limb infections, Regional Limb Perfusion (RLP) allows us to deliver a high concentration of antibiotics directly to the affected area while helping reduce the need for systemic antibiotics.
This targeted approach can:🦠 Provide excellent antibiotic coverage where we need it most💊 Help minimize systemic antibiotic exposure🐴 Decrease the risk of complications such as antibiotic-associated colitis🎯 Concentrate treatment right at the site of infection

RLP is a valuable tool in equine medicine that helps us treat infections effectively and thoughtfully, while practicing good antimicrobial stewardship.

Hey Idalou! 👋 Did you have just as much fun during the power outage as we did? 😂⚡️

We were right in the middle of our 6th surgery of the day — an emergency surgery, at that! — when the power went out! 😳

The challenge? Keeping all of our patients cool and comfortable, monitoring our post-op patients with cell phones, headlamps and flashlights, AND continuing to see appointments! 🔦📱🐾

But just like you, we kept going! 💪🏼

We feel you, Idalou! ❤️ We’re all in this together.

We hope you know just how dedicated we are to your pets. We care for every patient like they’re one of our own fur babies. 🐾❤️

Thank you for trusting Rocking P Vet with the animals you love!
