Today felt like more than just another day at the shop. 💚
My dad came by to “guest groom” (don’t worry… your dogs are safe 😆), wearing a shirt that means a lot to us.
This FurBalls tie-dye was a special request, made by my dad’s friend Jesse. Sadly, Jesse passed away unexpectedly two years ago.
If you knew “Hippy Jesse,” you knew tie-dye was basically his uniform. He had a huge heart and left his mark on a lot of people—especially riding around on his motorcycle with his dog Riley. Those two went everywhere together.
At his funeral, his hundreds of tie-dyes were laid out so everyone could take a piece of him and remember him by. This one made its way to my dad.
Seeing my dad here today—after how close we came to losing him last year—wearing something that keeps Jesse’s spirit alive… it just hits different.
Hope you’re still riding free up there, Jesse. 💚 We’re holding onto my dad a little longer down here.
