You may have noticed our milk tastes slightly different at the moment. This is due to the dairy girls now being fed 100% pasture (versus hay)!
🌱 Fresh grass in their diet adds more natural sugars and plant compounds, giving the milk a richer, sweeter, and herbaceous taste. As the cows' digestive systems adjust to the new diet, the flavor may temporarily shift, potentially introducing earthy and herbal notes.
💛 The high levels of beta-carotene in the grass also cause the milk to have a more yellow or golden color, especially in the spring.
