Jamey Dilley and Mark Strickland with 250 # trophy boar Jamey shot using the Grim Reaper Hunting Light.On January 16th 2014 we were hunting near Eddy Tx when we spotted the hog at 100 yards using the light. The weird thing that happened was that the hog started walking towards us with the light hitting him directly in the eyes. When he got to 80 yards he turned broadside slightly quartering to us. Jamey took the shot hitting the hog real tight behind the near shoulder. The 130 grain Barnes TTSX bullet from Jamey's 270 WSM Sako A-7 made a massive wound entering and a even bigger one exiting on far side. The boar spun around and was still able to make it 75 yards on his death run straight uphill. When I found the hog laying at the top of the hill I would have bet he weighted 400 but the scales stopped at 250 #. With the long cutters this old boar had he is going to make a awesome shoulder mount that Jamey is going to hang on his wall at J4D Deer Processing and Gun Sales in Gatesville Texas. Congratulations Jamey!
